so I digitally downloaded halo sometime around the 23rd and it said it was using up 63gb or something like that, now when I look it only takes 0GB! is this normal?

I sort of a similar problem. downloaded the game in good time before launch took up about 50 gb or so im not 100% sure. Now that I launched it, it just started on some update that is taking forever, currently at 9% and its going for almost an hour. What can I do ???
This is a problem that has been reported before, uninstall then reinstall, it is a glitch caused by the game not installing properly, you still own the game, so you should have no trouble reinstalling.

The update is around 9Gb on day one, since the game hasn’t officially launched yet, try waiting a couple hours, if that doesn’t work, go to Manage game, then reinstall the update.

Ive heard about that, but it said that if your installed file was smaller than 40 gb or so you needed to reinstall, but mine was like 50 or 60 gb.
but if I reinstall now, how much time can I expect to go by before its playable?

The only option seems to be “uninstall all” …
Hope this doesn’t happen to me before launch.
No this is NOT normal. You have to do a re-install
I pray this doesnt happen to me. But just think around 10-20% you can start playing campaign
