Okay, so a guy is trying to argue with me that the Grizzly tank was not only designed and built by Forge (and only him), it was ONLY EVER fielded on Harvest and the shield world, and never again used by the UNSC.
I’m trying to bash into the guy’s head the quotes from halopedian which are sourced from the visual guide page, but I was hoping somebody with the book could get a high quality (as in, read all the text) picture/pictures of that specific page of the book and get them to me so I could prove it one way or another.
I can’t get you images, but the Essential Visual Guide says, “The M850 has been employed sporadically during the conflict with the Covenant. Early on, campaigns on Harvest used it to great effect, taking advantage of its dual M310 120mm SBHVC system and its S1 upgrade. The twin cannons easily rip a hole through almost any planetside Covenant vehicle, particularly when the upgrade is active. The Grizzly’s subsequent usage by the UNSC has been spott, not due to performance, but rather cost, maintenance, and transportability.”
The problem is that in Halo Wars, Anders calls the Grizzlies Forge’s “pet project”.

Does it say anything about who made it? Like “It was built by so and so” <_<.
Manufacture: Chalybs Defense Solutions
As far as Forge’s involvement, he may have just been a strong supporter of the Grizzly and thus get attached to it so heavily.
Bump, with another favor.
If possible, could I get quotes on the other Halo Wars ‘unique’ units?
vulture, cobra, wolverine, sparrowhawk, gremlin (I think, the EMP vehicle).
I ask this because the guy is basically trying to say that the halo wars new vehicles have no canon stating they appeared elsewhere.
Use google and don’t be lazy.
Bumps are considered spam, so unless you tack on information with your bump like you just did you will draw the attentions of mods.
But seriously, use google, all the information you asked can be easily accessed via google.
Vulture:
> The use of the Vulture against the Insurrection was often viewed as unethical due to the vehicle’s obliterative power.
>
> Deployed against heavily fortified enemy strongholds, the Vulture was originally designed by Reach’s Ushuaia Armory to assist the UNSC during the darkest years of the Insurrection. A handful of Vultures are easily capable of leveling an enemy stronghold or an entire city. They went on to become irreplaceable in the war against the Covenant.

Cobra:
> > SP-42 MBTs first saw action in 2497, when they were employed during the course of Operation: CHARLEMAGNE.
> Wolverine:
> > Also known as the MAAT-9, the Wolverine was used in military campaigns on Harvest, Arcadia, Dwarka, Miridiem, Troy, and Jericho VII.
> Sparrowhawk:
> > Deployed during the end of the conflict on Harvest, the Sparrowhawk met with great success in the war against the Covenant. Despite its success, the Sparrowhawk’s heavy cost for repair and replacement meant limited production after 2550.
> Gremlin:
> > The Gremlin was originally designed in the early years of the rebellion as an experimental test bed for directed electromagnetic pulse firing of non-nuclear origin. Like most of the UNSC’s weaponry, the XPR12 was retasked for use against the UNSC’s new foe - the Covenant.
> All taken from my copy of “Halo: The Essential Visual Guide”. I only included relevant information, and cut out everything else. In short, they were all used outside of the Harvest campaign, most were used before the Covenant even showed up.
Thanks. If that doesn’t convince him… we’ll see.

That sort of reaction, imo, is always uncalled for. Don’t be rude and just tell people to look it up themselves, at least try to be somewhat helpful, I mean, if you came on here asking for information would you like if someone basically said to you “-Yoink- off and fight it yourself lazy -Yoink-.” because really that’s what I feel like the majority of those types of comments boil down to, whether directed at me or someone else. If you can’t be helpful then just ignore the thread and move on
And did it occur to you that maybe there’s not anything useful to what they’re looking for on google? And even if there is, it’s easier to just go and ask other people who would know or might have links to it rather than having to go spend hours of their time trying to do it themselves, and they may never even find the information they were looking for or asking about.
In regards to OP’s questions, sorry, DaeFaron, I don’t have any links or anything, and nothing to actually take pictures with available
I do have the Essential Visual Guide so if I did have means of creating a picture or two I’d gladly share them…in any case, I’ll be wishing you the best of luck against that bosh’tet on the SpaceBattles forum.
