hello lore heads, i need help with a few ponders i have.
1.I haven’t seen or heard of another spartan paired with an AI? so why is it halsey said she supplied the tools to maintain efficiency.
if they do have AI’s and i just missed it, is it on AI per spartan or is it only for certain spartans that need them.?
did chief not work as well before he got cortana back when he was with blue team and earlier?
any additional info that clears this kind of thing up will help.

There are other cases of AI’s paired with S-II, such as Naomi-010.
Every S-II Mjolnir (since Mark V) has the AI functionality, but an AI is given only to those who need it for a particular mission.
Cortana improved John’s performances, but she was mostly necessary for Operation: RED FLAG, to infiltrate covenant systems.

Part of the reasoning is that making smart AIs (like Cortana, Roland or BB) is not an easy process, so whilst every Spartan could be further enhanced by an AI, the UNSC had resource constraints (with John-117 only being paired just before Reach fell). Even in 2557/2558 it appears that smart AI creation is still quite a challenge (some comments to that effect in the Karen Traviss books), so despite the potential enhancement, the UNSC hasn’t got that part of the game up and running yet. The process was nailed by Halsey (cloning her own brain to create Cortana), however given the issues around cloning technology legalities, the mass production process is probably shelved.
I had just always thought that Cortana was Johns anti-psychotic
