This is a kind of big request…

But if you have the time, would you be able to make a list of every single gametype object required for every gametype please? I have a map that is complete apart from spawns and gametype objectives, and I’d like to make it compatible with all gametypes on that one map file if possible.

How did these help? I would love feedback and how to improve.
Either comment here or on that particular post.

> Revised - Added all Gametype Links above

I recommend on the particurlar posts that you read.

> Revised 3/31/2011- Moved All Links up to the first post so it did not take up as much room and to have one unified place to get the links

On a scale of 1-10… I think around 11… thousand… million. Really, I can’t express how grateful I am for a resource like this!! xD

And it certainly surpases the state of “being impressed”. This is just, what I’ve always wanted to know in a way that’s so easy to learn and read. Its what I expected to find in the official game guide. Alas not. But now you’ve made this. I’ll bookmark it today and download those files tomorrow.

As far as feedback goes, perhaps I should come back to this thread as/after I set up those gametypes on my map. But from first looks, this looks pretty damn good!! Thank you very much! =D

I want to set up a Spartans vs. Elite CTF game.

Is there a way to set up one team as Spartans and the other as Elites without making it an invasion game? or would it be easier to just have people pick their race at the start of the match?

Thanks!

You could set up a 3-stage Invasion game which every ‘stage’ is another flag capture. It would be a little awkward to work with, but otherwise I’m not sure if you could do Spartans vs. Elites. Good luck!

Just noticed… there’s no Juggernaut section in your guide. I’ll check on the game tomorrow… but are there no Juggernaut labels? Or are they simply unnecessary to get the gametype to work?

Also, I was just pondering… do you know which game labels the new game modes in the Action Sack playlist will require for them to work? I think Speedpile is one of the new games.

Sadly, I think only Bungie have the control to change game options like that. =\

You might want to message an employee or try asking 343 politely.

Yes, I forgot to post the Juggernaut labels
Juggernaut is a lot like slayer where it does not require any labels for it to run, and it only has 1 label for its self “JUGGERNAUT”

Yes, i do know about the new Action Sack Playlist and its gametypes I currently have Haloball and Hockey and Speedpile, also Speedflag and Slayer (i have not been able to test yet) should use default CTF and Slayer labels.

hope these helped

Sadly no

there is no way to force species in any gametype except Invasion, Invasion Slayer, Invasion Skirmish, Elite Skirmish, Spartan Skirmish, and Elite Slayer.

but insane54’s idea is as close as what you want. like he said it would be goofy, the flag would be a core.

I don’t have a question. I just wanted to say that your website is an incredible resource. I can tell you’ve put a lot of time and effort into it. On behalf of the community, I say thank you!

Im not a big forge person but HOLY CRAP lol! Good job.

Thanks BS Angel and Goldfinger2.
Now My Blog contains Chess. The Link is in the First Post.

Wow… you really are awesome capawesome9870! I can’t express how grateful I am for you figuring this stuff out! Thanks!

Now I need to get off my -Yoink- and finish my map. xD

Thanks for posting this guide. I need to start making more gametypes possible for my maps.

Dear capawesome9870,

I was wondering if you had the time… would you be able to explain how to use them and what the differences are between the different respawn zones please. I think there are three; the standard type, WEAK and ANTI.

Thank you!

When making an Invasion map are you able to set it up so teammates can spawn on each other like the Invasion playlist?

i will go in to detail later on what they do. but here is the general idea of what they do.
First all of these only effect Respawn points that are in side the area of these objects. No area no effect
Second they only effect the team that they are associated with. no team = All team.
Respawn Zones tell the player that they want to spawn in that area

Weak zones tell the player that they want to spawn in that area if there is a friend their.

Anti zone tells the players that they should not spawn there.

> When making an Invasion map are you able to set it up so teammates can spawn on each other like the Invasion playlist?

you need 4 players on a team in order to have players 1 and 4 to spawn on each other. 6 for all players to be able to spawn.

Hope this helped

Can you private message me everything I need to know making a big bro slayer map and also an invasion map, how to make weapons apear after, how to make vehicles, shields disapear/appear ect.

Thanks!
