I’d like to make a forge map, but not sure how. Halo 5 forge has made it really confusing. Any tips like: Which maps are the best to do it on. What to start with. What’s the best shape to work with.
Best advice: take a lot of time just trying to get used to the control scheme. It isn’t intuitive and you’ll want to practice. The best way to do that is to just start randomly placing pieces on a canvas - doesn’t matter which map or which pieces. Don’t try to build an actual map yet. Just use the controls. This also gives you the opportunity to explore the object inventory, which is huge. The more you practice the controls, the more you’ll figure out which palette has which pieces, and the faster you’ll be able to move when you finally do feel ready to build a map.

Oh, and don’t delete the pieces that are already on the canvas when you start (the 256x256 floor with spawn points). These shouldn’t be deleted until a project has its own spawn points.
