HELP! No Matchmaking On Halo Anniversary?

So I purchased and downloaded Halo Reach Anniversary Map Pack. Currently it only shows up under custom games where friends can be invited that have the map as well. What about matchmaking? The lobby should find who has the maps for me. A Key Note: Why no voting for these new maps? The new maps should be displayed to be voted on too. This is where people can display who has the maps. It makes since but if you don’t show the new maps in matchmaking people won’t buy the new maps. This is common since. I spent $15.00 on these new maps for my daughter to play on matchmaking but I can’t even connect with anyone. Why would I buy new maps but only have invited friends to play? There would be no way for me to know if they have the map unless I asked every single one of them. Bungie needs to take care of this. In my opinion people don’t play Halo to play by themselves. They play for the matchmaking and any new map that is sold should take that in consideration.

Ok first thing, Bungie have NOTHING to do with Halo anymore, not since 2012. Second, you are not being specific enough. Are you playing on the Halo Reach disc or the Halo CE Anniversary disc?

The Anniversary disc has nothing but the Anniversary maps so you should be OK to play them. But for the maps to show using the Halo Reach disc, everybody in the game lobby must have the maps in order for them to show as voting options. If just a single player doesn’t have the DLC maps, then they wont show at all. And due to Halo Reach’s low population that is made up of mostly non-DLC owners, your chances of getting the maps to show is slim to none.

Hi, thank you for replying to my message. It is a download map pack for Halo Reach that I got for my daughter to play matchmaking. Why would the game not list one for voting just because they don’t have the map? I’m sorry, I don’t mean to rant but that does not make since at all. If the lobby can’t match me up with enough people that have the map then there should be at least an option for voting. People have to see it there to know it exists. Example if they vote the map but don’t have the map then just inform them that they would have to purchase it first. How does Waypoint expect to sell these map packs? If Waypoint can’t offer a large enough group of people for matchmaking then they should work on their advertising within the game itself OR they should be selling this download. In fact I read many other posts from customers complaining of this same problem. This detours customers from purchasing extra downloads in the future. I really hope people understand this is like selling a car without wheels.

There is a playlist to play the Anniversary maps (Anniversary Classic and Anniversary Firefight). They are on the matchmaking playlist menu.

Hey, thank you so much in helping me. My daughter will be very happy now. You are a life saver!
