I got my cope this week and now want to play last weeks Spartan Ops (matchmaking). Can this be done? In the menu it only says Find Spartan Ops Games for current episodes.

I don’t think it can be done through matchmaking now, but I could always play with you if you wanted. I love SpOps and am always looking for a reason to play.

If you want to play episode 1 then you have to do it solo, or invite a friend, same thing with episode 2 when episode 3 is out.
Multiplayer Spartan Ops will only offer the current episode’s chapters.
For episodes that have past you will have to play solo, split screen or invite a friend.
Well that’s unfortunate.
im guessing once all 10 weeks are through, they’ll make the option available for all. but considering its like a one-time play through sort of deal, they dont wanna split the population amongst diff spartan ops

Soloing episode 1 now. Land Grab and The Challenge were tough.

I’m not knocking you for what you’ve said but from 343i’s stand point that’s a stupid way of looking at things… what about the people that get Halo 4 around the time say, Episode 6 (best Star Wars film… ahem)comes out?
Basically newer players will be forced to grind the previous Episodes out on their own to catch up, not exactly fair on them. Especially if they want the “never leave a man behind” achievment and aren’t that good.
I noticed this earlier and was quite disappointed, especially considering my friends are CoDheads and don’t play halo. Looks like I’ll be lone wolfing it, or I’ll have to add randomers from the forum.
I was also pretty disappointed that we don’t have a campaign co-op search support.

Yeah, I think a lot of people have noticed this by now lol. I agree with 343’s decision to only put the current episode for online matchmaking, it gets more people to play and also prevents the Halo 4 population from being too split. However, after Season 1 we will have to pay for Spartan Ops. And since only the current episode can be played on Matchmaking, the Spartan Ops episodes that you pay for will not be of much value as they will only be on Matchmaking for a week.
