HELP! My k/d is terrible DX

As I said my k/d is horrible…but I tend to get good placement in kills and/or points in my games…I’m sure it’s the fact that I die too much…can anyone suggest anything to make me not die quite so much? As in a strategy or a special kind of way to practice? Any help would be appreciated

I was played very similar once. I would go ham in SWAT and get 25-40 kills. Then check the post game stats to find out I died about 30 times in the process.

My problem was I played to aggressively and even to this day I still do however I don’t make stupid plays. What I would recommend is try to stay alive. Don’t just constantly push out for the sake of getting a kill. If your on low shields or are outnumbered, don’t stay but run with your head down. Don’t make a challenge unless you know you have very good fighting chance.

Stop being so aggressive then. Halo 4 is not a difficult game in the slightest.

I see your most used weapon is the Assault Rifle. Although nothing is wrong with that, the AR often leads to trading kills and requires a pretty aggressive playstyle. Try using the BR in place of the AR and sitting back, putting shots on enemies from a distance.

The key to a high K/D is to play very passive, sitting back and reducing deaths as much as possible. I like to think of my self as a pretty good player (CSR 50, Halo 3 50 etc) but I sometimes find my self going massively negative when I start playing too aggressively and chasing kills.

EDIT: Also don’t be afraid to adopt a more supporting role. If you find yourself going negative but having a lot of assists, that is perfectly fine. Your K+A/D ratio is much more important that your K.D ratio.

I’ve never understood that. You have a CHOICE to use good weapons in Halo 4 now. Why would people still keep AR rushing like idiots?

People have different play styles, some like close quarters, so they use the assault rifle, storm rifle or suppressor more often, or if people like a more mid to long range approach, you tend to see them with DMR’s, BR’s or Carbines, everybody has different strategies

The Carbine, Storm Rifle, and Suppressor are all useless and people with thumbs just use the BR or DMR. Outclasses everything almost every time.

Not really, I use the storm rifle, carbine and suppressor on occasion and I use them effectively, I may come out defeated at some point but other times, I actually come out victorious or on sprees with them, and BR and DMR doesn’t outclass everything, almost every time, you need to have a good aim and accuracy to be decent with the weapon, I have had people try to kill me with DMR/BR’s and I take them out with something like the suppressor because they missed all of their shots on me…

You barely have any kills with those weapons, and you have negative K/D’s with one or two of them. You were just playing idiots those rare times you actually used those weapons.

God you’re ignorant…
The automatic weapons play a separate role and at close range will wipe the flaw with any BR user. I fail to see why using one is so idiotic? I use an Assault Rifle in conjunction with the BR (as primary) and that works wonders. Also the Carbine is arguably equally as good as the BR and because of the BR’s burst a carbine user with a decent strafe will easily beat a BR user.

Does the fact that I use an AR make me an idiot? I think not

You barely have any kills with any of those weapons. Why do you people keep trying to tell me this stuff out of “experience” when you don’t even use them? Oh that’s right, it’s because they’re bad weapons and the weapons you ALL use (LR, BR, DMR) outclass them nearly every time.

Of course different playstyles suit different weapons. Although I would recommend for most situation the BR is the best option, the Global Championship finals proved how effective weapons such like the AR can be in certain situations.

Just because you may be bad with them doesn’t mean they are useless, funny how you mentioned the DMR and BR as the BR currently needs a RoF nerf and the DMR was broken before, you listed to weapons which have been OP

How can anyone be bad with an AR? I just don’t use automatic starting weapons in Halo because I’m not dumb. And broken or not, I use the weapons that are good and take some kind of thought and presence of thumbs to use.

You kids are the same ones that complained about BR starts in Halo 3, I just have that feeling.

The AR requires more skill than the BR at this point, I’m annoyed you’re belittling the other weapons, you say they’re useless but they aren’t, I have beat a crap ton of BR users with the Storm Rifle and Carbine, tell me, why are they useless?

I didn’t play Halo 3 multiplayer past 2008, I always dropped the BR for a Carbine in BR starts though

Just because you, a player stuck at level 33 after 9 days played, can out-gun other level 30s with a Storm Rifle doesn’t make them good. It’s the same argument I heard back in Halo 3. “Well I can kill people with AR’s when they’re using a BR, the AR must be as good if not better!” Then I check their service record to see that they’re a 20 in Team Slayer.

Then I can’t take you seriously.

Do my stats matter? I’m not a competitive player, I can still do it and I’m playing with people of equal skill, and by the way you may want to check the forum rules, and also if you bothered to check, only 3 days of the 9 have been spent in Matchmaking

Might as well listen to yourself

Your complaining people aren’t using the Tryhard Rifle, I mean the Battle Rifle

Yeah I know, which is why I can’t take you seriously.

Well what’s so bad about the Carbine? Give me an answer, I can’t take you seriously

In Halo 3? Very inaccurate at longer ranges and a longer kill time than the BR. The BR was better in just about every way.

Halo 4? Much longer kill time compared to the BR’s 4-shot. BR is better in literally every way.
