Help...Microsoft Halo Reach New disc format

Hey everyone, I recently participated in a Xbox test program to try out a new disc format for the Xbox 360. The disc format is supposed to have 2 more gigs then a standard Xbox disc. The disc sent for the trial members to test for full functionality was a copy of Halo Reach. I tested the disc out and everything worked great. My issue is that an update made about a month ago for Halo reach caused to disc to become useless. I heard that all members in this test program were supposed to receive an e-mail with a free downloadable copy of Halo Reach, but I never received such E-mail.

I contacted Microsoft support and they told me the solution was to post on the Bungie forums, but it seemed a bit strange, but I was out of options. I bought Reach at launch but sold it believing this copy was a permanent solution.

I posted at Bungie and they told me to come here for help. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

You’d be better off contacting Xbox support about this. This was an issue that was resolved quite a long time ago.

A few days after the Title Update came out, this problem was resolved by e-mailing EVERY participant of the Preview Program a code for Halo: Reach on Games on Demand, check your e-mail linked to your Xbox LIVE Account, make sure to check Junk e-mail to.

I never received an email in my inbox, trust me, I’ve checked everywhere.
I also contacted Xbox support twice and they told me to post here.

Have you double checked EVERY part of your Inbox?

Junk as well?

Try logging into the Connect Site and see what your contact e-mail is.

I’m surprised that you’re only bringing this up now, considering there was a thread about this issue for a while after the TU.

I do have two questions for you:

  1. How did you get the update for the preview program (Through the disk, or Xbox LIVE itself)?
  2. What color is the disk?

Ummm, your time frames are off, by quite a lot. The test was back in the spring and the update was back in September. Why didn’t you bring this up when everyone else did?

Check your email timeline around 9/23/11 from Xbox 360 xboxreps@engage.xbox.com
