So I am genuinely confused as to how the matchmaking system matches people. I have a platinum 6 ranking in slayer for example. I got it to diamond, but it then fell. Players in my matches are mostly onyx ranking and sometimes diamond, but rarely against platinums. I can somewhat understand seeing diamonds in my matches, but onyx level players are a whole 2 ranks above me, which seems to be a no win situation for me. I mean if the game seems to think I can play at onyx level ranking, then I don’t really understand why it just doesn’t put me at onyx, because if I am always going to versus onyx ranked players at platinum rank, then I will constantly win/lose ranking without really moving anywhere. When I see some other games ranking systems, once you are placed, you generally go against those that are your ranking, since that is the whole point to begin with; especially since these onyx players are gaining rank off of me. Now I genuinely don’t know why this is the way it is, I am very curious to know why it works this way, and maybe one day gets fixed.

Sometimes there is one onyx but a gold as well.
