I have 2 xbox’s and one is about to die on me, so I tried to move my anniversary DLC from one xbox onto a flash drive and then move it from there onto my new xbox slim. But once I’m on Reach it’s saying I don’t have the maps. Anyone know why this is or how to get it to work?
You have to transfer the license of the DLC to your new xbox. You can transfer all your licenses from your xbox (If I remember right.), though I’m unsure as to how. I think you have to go to your download history and if you look at the bottom of the screen it should have a button short cut that will allow you to start the process. If I told you wrong I am sorry, I haven’t had to do it in a while.
You shouldn’t need to transfer them at all. I believe that they are linked to your gamertag. So if you bought a new xbox and then transferee your gamertag to the new one, you should be able to just download the DLC again. You would have to go to the marketplace and download it from there.
At least that is what I think.
Why not just get the transfer cable and do the darn thing, then it takes you through a step by step process
