help, How to tell if mine is PRe-order version with bonus

Sorry for cluttering this forum with my non-gaming question

I bought a new copy of Halo: combat evolved anniversary as a secret gift for my friend son, on the bottom of the cover, there is a label “Bonus master chef avatar armor and exclusive grunt funeral skull”, does this mean mine is the pre-order version? and the bonus code is inside?
I won’t open the wrap since it’s a gift, so i appreciate if anyone can help to elucidate, thanks!

Yes you seem to have gotten the Pre-Order Version.

I bought my copy from GAME in-store and it contained all the goodies that you would get from the Pre-Order Version.

Bonus Win :3

If it has the label that you get the Grunt Funeral Skull and Masterchief avatar suit. Then yes, you’ve got the pre-order version. You will have the bonus codes inside the case behind the instruction book. You will also get a 48 hour trial code aswell.

great, thanks a lot, folks!

boy will enjoy it with bonus!!

As others have said, yes, you have the pre-order package. The same thing happened to me. My local Best Buy gets very little business as far as game releases go, so I assume they always have a surplus in pre-order packages. I also got the pre-order Recon for Reach. This might be what happened to you.

i have decided that when a halo game say’s “pre-order bonus” it really means it’s a first shipment of games bonus
