I’ve tried everything. Hard resetting my Xbox One. Re-installing Halo 5 onto my console. Nothing. I go to select a theater clip to record because I do videos on YouTube but when I click on the video I’ve saved in my bookmarks… I press A and all I hear is the sound effect and nothing happens.
Is anyone else having this glitch? Three months out and a breaking bug in theater mode exists!? Anyone know anyway to fix it?
Same happens to me, I looked it up in google, i guess it happens to everyone. I’m not actually sure what bookmarks are for, It doesn’t seem to save the game. So much for cloud storage. It should give you the option to save locally.
Just checking, but your privacy setting on your xbox are set to “adult”?
Yeah, it seems that videos randomly disappear from the cloud storage sometimes. I’ve had it happen to a few old videos, so now I capture everything as I’m doing it instead. Which, honestly, if it’s for youtube, you probably want to do that anyway. Theatre mode is garbage & will just get you comments like “haha this game is for noobs cus your aimer isn’t even on people when they die.”

I’m having the same exact problem. I posted a forum post about it as well. I had 24 clips prepared for a montage I was going to work on and now I have to start over again… It’s very frustrating to me that there isn’t a patch for this. I feel like theater isn’t up on the list of important things for 343. I know they have a lot on their hands but I feel like theater is an essential part of the halo experience that seems to be buggy. Just my observations. Please let me know if you find out a fix.
From what I remember this is a known issue and on the list to fix. Someone mentioned it in the last day but I cant remember who, maybe Unyshek? I’ll see if I can track that down
edit It was him

Okay Cool, is it supposed to come out in an update? Or just maybe a patch that they won’t be announcing? Appreciate the info!
So for the first time, 20 minutes ago, one of my bookmarked films played. Seems to be working now.
That is because there is no fileshare. Bookmarking does not actually save recent films, it simply places a marker on the file in temporary storage. Only a handful of matches are stored in recent films, and every time you play a multiplayer match the oldest film is overwritten.
The bookmarks will remain active, whether the file still exists or not.

I imagine this will be in one of the updates, hopefully it could be squeezed into the February update next month
