the error message is -
Unable to Join
A player on this Xbox 360 console is playing in matchmaking
connecting through matchmaking on xbox live, been talking to another guy who did this a while ago and he said he got that error, i think its a new splitscreen error that sprung up with all the other new server issue. Please advise.

Is this on Xbox 360 or on Xbox One? And is this Halo: The Master Chief Collection or Halo 3 back compat?

Are you searching splitscreen? Are you searching solo? Does this happen every time? Specific playlist?

searching in 2s, it doesnt happen all the time, usually the first 6-7 searches after launching the game then it will not happen for another few then it will start again. The guy i was talking to got it in team skirmish and i got mine in ranked grifball
You aren’t using the same account as the other person right?
Is his “home xbox” your xbox console and maybe game sharing?

It’s 360 so home console and game sharing is a nonissue.

Okay so you’re in doubles, but are you playing solo or with a guest? I need to know exactly what you’re doing so so I can give it a go on my end.
