Help Getting General Rank

Hey everyone, I am a completionist of the Halo games, and I’ve gotten ever single achievement from Halo CEA, to Halo Reach (still working on Halo 4) with the exception of the Halo Wars General Rank achievement.

I’ve been trying to play a lot more of the game to get my rank up for it, but every single time I get into a game, I get rushed within 5 minutes of the game starting, and end up losing most of the time, the times where I have rushed I have only walked away with a measly 200-1000 points total which only knocks a sliver out of the work I need to do.

I’ve done the research, and at this rate of progress, it will take me over 200 hours to get from Major to General rank. I may be a diehard fan of Halo, but there has got to be a better way… So I went online to see how to rank up faster, and there is a method which provides 33,000 some points to EACH side in about an 1.0-1.5 hours time. The only problem is now, that every time I ask my opponents if they want to do this they either don’t respond, or decided to backstab me, and simply enjoy the trolling and the 100 some points of victory they get.

I would love ask 343 if they can just give me the achievement, though I know that won’t happen. I also would love if the community, anyone that reads this to message me and see if they might be willing to work with me to get a few quick rank ups, because as it is right now, I am loathing the online experience. I’m by no means an elite player, but I know general concepts rather well.

343, I know from research that Microsoft Studios has control over updates and material for the game, but I have begged them on numerous occasions to alleviate this problem, as the lack luster community hinders me through their mentality, and through their low numbers.

If there is anything I could ask it’s this of 343/Microsoft, and of the community:

343/Microsoft: The point requirement to get General is pretty high, but it’s somewhat respectable. What I would love to see you do though, is allow the few Halo Wars players out there to get into a random match with people who are in a party chat over Xbox to become matched together.

I also would love it if you would allow skirmish matches against the computer to apply to leveling up your rank. (I love the AI games, but I hate trolling players)

Halo Wars Community: Help each other out. I can’t tell you how many times I message a player, hoping that they will work with me to do the 33,000 point farming, OR just to simply not rush each other in the first 15 minutes to have a fun game… None of you have done that, all you have done is lie, and make me genuinely HATE the online experience.

Halo Wars is one of the few games that is enjoyable, until it is brought into the hands of the community, where it is turned into a steaming pile of crap. So I want to either fix the community, or fix the game so that people can have a fun time.

Don’t ask us to boost.

Nobody will help you if you insult them.

Just get a buddy for some turtles, you can get the max amount of score possible (per game) in a few hours.

Not sure if this was bait (2/10 if so for making me reply), but either way you literally just guaranteed nobody here helping you, ever.

Phoinexe you’re joking right, what do you care if he boosts to general rank? General means absolutely nothing in this game as it can be attained by anyone with enough grinding, if you’re going to complain about boosting, make it about ts not rank.

As for the OP, super turtles on fort deen/glacial ravine (DLC) are your best options. If you can get two more people on your team just do it in party teams, and since you don’t seem concerned with anything other than the achievement, the added risk of loss doesn’t matter. BAS1S1TA’s channel is gone or else I’d tell you to go there to get an idea of super turtle fundamentals. Try searching it on youtube, see if you can’t find a video of it, give yourself an idea of how to pull it off for the hour+ stuff.

You’re probably already aware of this but I’ll mention it anyway, the max base score attainable in a single game is 4,000, from there it relies on your multiplier, which is affected by finishing the game, combat efficiency, and whether you win or lose.

Don’t feed the troll…this guy really must be kidding.

He literally insulted the community, and yet we ignore that fact to attack each other. That rustles my jimmies.

I don’t care about boosting or cheating ranks, you’re right, it has no affect in Halo Wars whatsoever.
