What my goal is:
Mark 6 - Helmet
Centurion - Armor
I have learned that it is best to get Silvers first to take out all of the Common to Rares… however the only Armor I actually want is Rare, Ultra Rare and Legendary. So would it technically be more beneficial for me to just go gold REQ Packs in hopes of the “good stuff” which is technically a 75% chance of getting it if you think that there are 4 rarities. There is a lot of math and details that go into it and I’m sure some of you have already figured it out. My friends already have every single piece of armor!
Thanks so so much in advance!

While there is a very low chance that you’ll ‘luck out’ and get the armor you want form an early gold pack, it’s more likely that you’ll end up spending twice the time to get what you would have gotten from a silver pack.
I haven’t seen any proper math on the rate of getting things; but we do know that there are five rarities; commons, uncommons, rare, ultra rare, and legendary and the drop rate for the lower levels appears to be significantly greater. You would also have to consider how many items are among the rarities for each level. Not to mention the handful of mythic items which may be ranked as something else. The choice is yours, but there is a good chance that Silver, slow, and steady will net you what you want quicker than going for the gold.

Good point… I will definitely do that then…
You can gamble on an early Gold Pack to snatch up a nice set of armor; I was lucky enough to get Defender Fortress (a Legendary set) in my early days of Halo 5.
But if you really want to get the good stuff en masse, you need to start from the bottom-up with Silvers.

I would go for silvers first but open the occasional gold pack to see if you can come home rich.
I only go for Gold packs, and I get abdolute TRASH from them. The rarest armor I have is Shinobi: Heartless Armor.

That is why you go Silver first or Bronze then Silver. You are wasting a lot of time and RP’s going for gold only.

I lucked out hard with the Wrath armor, got it at like SR 62
