Help! Gamestop Pre-order bonuses problem

Hello, I have a problem with my Pre-order bonuses. The problem being that I can’t find them at all.

I brought my copy to Gamestop and asked them why I don’t have my pre-order bonuses even though I pre-ordered it several months in advance.

The employee told me that I needed to enter all the codes that was packaged into the box in order to obtain them as I pre-ordered the Limited edition as they don’t print the code on the reciet(I think I spelled it wrong but I think you got the message) unless it’s the standard edition.

But, After I entered the codes for the wargames pass, the various skins, specializations and avatar props I still didn’t get the pre-order bonuses. Is there something I over looked or is there a problem I’m not aware of.

Any experience from people who have the Limited edition and gamestop pre-order bonuses are welcomed.

Hello, Hello, is anybody out there?.. (Who can help?)

Try redownloading all the items from your download history.

Sorry, I wasn’t specific. I could’nt find a code that was clearly marked as Pre-ordered DLC. Even though I was told I was to try to download all the codes I was given.

Oh my… well I pre-order the LE from GameStop as well and they printed all of the bonuses on the receipt.

Gamestop puts all specifically Gamestop pre-order related codes on the Receipt.

They are supposed to tell you and make sure you are aware of how important the receipt codes are. If you weren’t warned give the manager a sort of casual complaint call or something.

There was a guy I worked with back with me during my own Gamestop misadventure and he’d always forget to mention. One break out of pre-order related mishaps and a few angry customers called. After the Manager worked out which of us was the source of the forgetfulness he got sacked. Our manager was PISSED about it.

“They come here and put EXTRA MONEY down and you risk losing their custom because you can’t remember to say “Codes are on your receipt sir!” before they wander off!”

He ranted about it for like a half an hour. I got sacked a while later for running my mouth at some angry woman who got pissed because she bought a Playstation 3 and no one told her that doesn’t play Gears of War games.

Edit: I’m still salty about that too. All I really said was “You can use google to find the cheapest Ps3 and you can’t find the time to google the console the games you really want for your kid are on?”

For some reason mine didn’t :frowning:

The things is my situation was a little bit special for me. I was away for college when Halo 4 released and made the pre-order for the Limited at my home town. My father picked it up for me when I was away and sent it to me at college. He left everthing he gotten from the store in the bag and sent it over to me. When I got it I was missing the pre-order bonus in the bag. I could have lost it in transit or something else is up. I don’t know.

Your best bet is to locate the original receipt. That has been where ALL Gamestop centric codes have been printed for quite a while now.

I have the actual reciet next to me right now. I looked it over and nothing. Maybe there was a special card with the code on it they give out to any pre-orderers (Is that even a word?)? Something similar to the Halo Wars pre order bonus?

If you still have the receipt, you can email Gamestop’s customer support and they’ll probably ask you for some numbers on your receipt to verify everything.

That’s what I did with Best Buy, but it could be different for Gamestop.

It’s usually on a card, for my country(Singapore) all our armor codes (Venator Raptor, Oceanic Circuit) were all in a seperate card. The Recruit PRIME for Limited Edition, however, is inside the Limited Edition box. Just open all the stuff inside.

Thanks, I might e-mail gamestop support to see if could get this sorted. But by all means keep posting any other helpful advice that might give me any clues.

Perhaps. Gotta consult who you sent to buy it. If the code really isn’t on that receipt I’d honestly be surprised. I didn’t know any Gamestops still used alternate ways.

See, the purpose of putting in on the receipt is to prevent Employee theft of pre-order related codes. How can an employee steal something from you when he has to hand you the receipt its on, right? Sometimes you’d get employees in random stores here and there stealing a lot of the ‘cards’ or ‘printouts’ with codes and all. The Receipt thing makes it impossible unless the employee keeps the receipt - but that is easy for the manager and other employees to notice and makes it easy to catch.

I should start quoting more. I did open all of my codes in the packaged but all I had was the codes for the prime skins, avatar stuff, the wargames pass, the FuD special edition, and the secializations and the free 14-day trial.

Erm, in that case, I really have no other solution cos my country does things differently. Ask any1 else who bought from th same retailer if they have the same issue.

Thanks for the input but I already did that earlier, as mentined in my earlier post. Maybe I should just give the employees a more through talking to when I come back from winter break.

If it’s any consolation you atleast tried.

Going to bed. But don’t be afraid to post anything helpful while I’m gone. Night.

I had the same exact problem but first a little back story. Gamestop had a server problem on launch night and the store I was at (as well as others) the codes were not being printed on the receipt. We were told that they would be in out digital lockers on the my powerup rewards website. Now my friend’s codes were all there but mine were not. I called the powerup rewards customer service number on the website and they said that due to the server problem some accounts didn’t have the codes posted. But after asking for my powerup rewards number (on the account page or the back of your card) I was giving all 7 codes. Granted they were read off one at a time, I got them all and they all worked.
