I am thinking of trading in H4 while I can still get a decent amount for it and picking up Blops2…
I really enjoyed the campaign, but its not worth more than 2 play throughs. I know that will be the same with Blops2. So that is a neutral point.
With the addition of Loadouts and Ordinances the game play from H4 to Blops2 will have little differences (NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT H4 GAMEPLAY) so that is another neutral point.
The two things that are swinging me to Blops2 is Zombies and number of Multiplayer game types.
Firefight is the only reason I still own Reach and ODST. SO if they are not going to add it to H4, that cuts the shelf life of this game by quite a bit for me. Sops is not holding my attention like I thought it would either.
The only multiplayer game type I play right now is Dominion since they got rid of extraction. While on Blops i would play dominion, sabatoge, and demolition at least.
I loved the game and have no problems with it, I just think that I might get more mileage out of Blops2 than H4…

My opinion is that you’re making a big mistake. Posting a thread saying you’re thinking of swapping Halo 4 for Black Ops 2 will attract a lot of flaming. You might get about two or three people offering helpful advice, everyone else will be either pro-Halo or pro-COD.
My advice, keep Halo 4 because there are a lot of new things coming, such as future SPOPS episodes. Personally, playing them co-op is so much better. If you have Black Ops 1, play that instead.

if you like zombies, I’d buy blops2. but I would not buy it for the campaign Lol that is a joke. Black Ops 2 has its own fair share of problems, you can head over to the cod forums to see a ton of complaints.
Multiplayer-wise, cod and halo don’t play the same at all. Spawn trapping doesnt work in halo 4 and kills take longer than 2 seconds - plus 4v4 is much much different than 8v8. If you’re not doing well in Halo 4, cod is much easier to rack up kills and itd be more enjoyable in that respect
No. I have both. CoD is really good every year at making you think their game is “new” and “innovative” but it’s not. The MP is still the same horribly unbalanced COD experience, the campaign looks lousy and I have never been a zombies fan.
Give Halo 4 some time, it will iron out the wrinkles. Also, when you compare BLOPS II to Halo 4 graphics wise, BLOPS II looks like a PS2 game.
Besides zombies (Which is AWESOME) im not a big fan on BO2. I haven’t finished story mode but ive put some time in multiplier and feel like they took everything bad about MW3 and made it better but at the same time made everything good about MW3 and made it sh*t. TDM is full of campers, bouncing bettys, and op kill streaks that just give people kills.
Having played both, H4 is a much better value. Spartan Ops will keep dropping new episodes and 343i has already stated new playlists are on the way. Add custom games (which will only get better and have more variety as time goes on) and you have an easy choice.
TBH with you man, i wouldnt trade in halo 4 for blops2. The campaign was fun, but i would not play it again. The multiplayer is almost exactly the same as all of the other cod games, just with worse maps and new guns. It is fun for a while, but then it gets boring to me. If your wanting Blops2 for zombies then look elswhere, because its pretty damn horrible in this game. Zombies took a major step backwards in this one, not fun at all. Keep halo 4, don’t sell it back for $30. If your really determined on getting Blops2 save up and get it, maybe by the time you get it they will have fixed all of the lag issues in MM. Dont get me wrong, it is a fun game but I would rather have halo 4.

keep halo 4 wait for christmas get money buy blops 2 thats what im doing i like both halo and blops. now halo 4 ATM has a small ammount of content but it will grow weekly along with the co-op campaign spartan OPS. plus i think it a waste to simply buy blops for zombies.

I fell for the original black ops and whilst I enjoyed it, it didn’t have a long shelf life. I prestiged once and after going up a couple of levels realise how repetitive the gameplay was.
If you’re a massive fan of CoD go for it, otherwise leave it be.
As for zombie mode, horde mode on gears and survival mode on L4D kick it’s -Yoink-.

If you returned your copy of Halo 4, why are you even on these forums, specifically for Halo 4. Lol how pathetic.
I posted this in the COD forum (my original post) to see what their side would be and it came out pretty much the opposite (minus the Sops specific stuff)…
So i guess its just preference at this point…
For clarification, I was not getting it ONLY for Zombies, but that was a large part of it. I mostly wanted it for the Sabatoge/Search and Destroy and Demolition modes…
I have a theory on spartan ops. If you look at the listed achievements available for halo 4 there is one that peaks my interest. It is the no easy way out achievement. It says survive waves and waves of enemies. I think they have a firefight system built but it is not with release and that later as an “expansion map pack” we will get more episodes of spartan ops and a firefight mode. Everything is still new so don’t turn your back on it so fast.
Everyone keeps saying the OP is going to get flamed, yet I see only mature responses, which pleases me. Honestly though OP, just save up money and have both games. You MIGHT get $30 off Halo 4, but that’s half the cost you originally paid. It’s not worth it. They still have tweaks to make that you’ll be missing out on.
