help! cant work out how to change setting so headset will work says NAT is closed

finally joined xbox live gold last night but cant get my headset to work with halo reach , it keeps working for about 2 mins then it gos off again , NAT settings says closed but i dont know why or how to change it also please add me bidsmister79 thanks

Not being able to use voice when you have all the equipment can be frustrating. I’m sorry that is happening to you. I haven’t had a headset issue with NAT before. This is interesting to me.
I know this sounds obvious, but have you made sure your headset is plugged in fully or are you using a wireless headset? I use the wired headset and it fits very loosely in the headphone jack, so I will lose voice every now and then if I move around too much and not even know it.

As for the NAT issue, one of the best ways to first fix a closed NAT is to power cycle your devices. Turn off your Xbox, unplug your router, unplug your modem. Go do something for about 1 minute. Maybe get a glass of water. Plug the modem back in and wait for it to fully boot up. Next, plug your router in and wait for that to fully boot up. Finally, turn on your Xbox and test.
