There are four slots each for equipment and grenade key bindings in campaign. By default settings, the game has already made double use of some of the d-pads for equipping things and other actions. For example, AI scan is on up d-pad. That also doubles as equipping slot 4 and equipping plasma grenade. So why can’t I double equip any of the d-pad inputs? I have one grenade type and one equipment slot that I have no key binding for. I’m out of room on my controller for key bindings. And the game won’t let me reuse the fourth d-pad input without taking it away from another action.
Any help or workarounds you could offer would be great. Big dampener on my start to campaign having to stop to try and figure this out.

This has been a problem since the first flight. I have the same issue with RB & LB. I can change the on foot controls to have grenades thrown with RB and epuipment on LB, but the vehicle settings will still have grenades on LB. If I switch it there to RB, I lose the ability to ascend in the Wasp.
I don’t think there is a workaround. I have submitted a ticket, and hope it will be fixed at some point. For now, just reset your controls to default, to get all functions back.

The solution in my opinion would be to let us assign a button to open the equipment picker menu and then each button subsequently wouldn’t matter. That’s essentially how it works with the grenades. I click right on the d pad and it opens up my grenade menu, then each d pad button is assigned a grenade. I should be able to click left on the d pad and open up my equipment menu then assign each d pad button to an equipment.
