Well, I want to get the armor/visor for beating the halo 4 story mode, but i’m a little noobish when it comes to beating halo games on legendary. I am helpless on even the first level. Anyone interested in helping me or at least giving me some tips on it?
cover is your friend
and don’t burn though ammo
simple tips, but, sometimes they’re so obvious, that people forget sometimes
I’ll send you a F invite when Im done with dinner/ walking my dogs. If you arent on at that point, we can party up some other time & I’ll help you out.
Hey man if you want to party up sometime tomorrow, i’ll run through the campaign with you on legendary so you can get the armor. I’ve beat it plenty of times so we should get it fairly quickly( for legendary)
just send me a friend request if ya want,
gt davidmayday
and will help you with terminals and other achievements if interested. just helping!
Anyway that I could get in on the covenant/forerunner smash fest?
Thanks guys, I won’t be online until about 3:00p.m. tomorrow.
BTW, my mic broke a few days ago, so no mic for me
Afraid I can’t join you, but I can give you some advice.
THE NEEDLER IS YOUR FRIEND. High-ranking Elite? No problem. Just use the Needler.
The ideal set up, in my opinion, is the Needler and a headshot weapon. The Needler to take out Elites, and the headshot weapon to deal with… everything else. (It works on Prometheans, too)
That’s a simpified version, of course. But overall, what you need to remember most is to keep your head down. Take your time. Evaluate an area before entering it. And conserve ammo. Do this, and you should have a pretty good chance.
Try watching some speed runs on Legendary. They will help you out on tactics. Here’s Mission 1 Dawn, you’ll see the other episodes follow.
All players who are playing with me, I will be on and off maybe away, but after 6:00 I will probably be there full time ready to finish it.
Man, Halo 4 is the easiest game in the series. I am an awful Halo player and even I finished it in 5 hours.

I found it much tougher than Reach and ODST.
General Tips -
-
Precision rifles: DMR, BR, Light Rifle and Carbine rifles are your friend on Legendary.
-
Headshot everything, this is especially important on Legendary, another tip, when fighting Promethean Knights on Legendary and you have the Light Rifle, don’t scope with it. Use it like a Battle Rifle and you will take out Knights faster then you would when scoped.
-
Know your enemy, know what you dealing with. Covenant has a variety of enemy types some being harder then others, and Knights have different classes such as the Battlewagons which carry scattershots.
-
Prioritize targets, take down snipers, grunts, crawlers and watchers, banshees…anything that you know will give you lots of trouble. Save Knights for last as there the easiest enemy to deal with when you buy yourself.
-
You don’t always have to kill every enemy to advance.
-
Take you time, rushing can lead to frusturation.
-
Every weapon is viable, including automatic weapons like the Assualt Rifle or Suppressor or Storm Rifle. Additionally there is ample ammo in the game, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t conserve ammo when you can.
-
Armor Abilites. The Hologram, Sentry Turret and Active Camo are your best friends on Legendary.
-
Use vehicles effectively. Banshees and Wraiths, Ghost, whatever vehicle you can find means unlimited Ammunition which can save alot of time and energy when playing Legendary solo.
Thats all I got for now. To be honest, I found Halo Reach alot harder on solo Legendary then Halo 4.
This is how I got through Legendary solo (with a lot of dying):
Levels with Covenant: Always have Magnum/DMR/Carbine/Light Rifle/Battle Rifle + Plasma Pistol
Levels with Prometheans: DMR/Carbine/Light Rifle/Battle Rifle + Scattershot
Find the Auto-Sentry and don’t lose it. It will help take out those annoying Watchers so you won’t waste ammo.
Be the world’s biggest wuss and fire from cover long distances.
