Hello,
I need someone’s help to look into why I was banned from matchmaking. I jumped back on MCC after having been away for some time, and the first match I tried to join just stayed on the black loading screen, so I reset my laptop, then I tried to play again, loaded up map, but before getting into the game, I was kicked out and received the following message…
"ANTI-CHEAT INCIDENT
You cannot matchmake due to the following anti-cheat issue: Unknown file version (haloreach\maps\cextimberlandmap)"
What do I do?
I have never cheated, downloaded mods or any kind of file manipulation.
Have you tried verifying game files?

I did that with Borderlands 3 last night when it kept crashing, but not with MCC. I did just jump into a game right after I posted this, but I noticed some audio issues where guns sounded like they were spawning next to me, or the sound when you bring it out, even though I was by myself. Really weird, but I’ll see what happens later.

Try to go to the location of the map, remove it, and then verify game archives. By this way steam will download the correct file (i guess).
You are not banned, or at least that is what i think. That is what the anti cheat detects what your map file has other version or has been modificated.

Hello,
I was recently banned from Halo MCC matchmaking for no reason. The message I got when I was playing the game was “Warning, You have been temporarily banned from playing matchmaking. Ban will be lifted 10/29/2552 at 11:21 pm”.
Clearly this was a mistake because even if I was doing anything wrong like cheating then I would get a warning message first. I kinda wanna play the game I spent money on. Anyone know the fix
Thanks,

You probably did something that didn’t warrant a warning or you were warned before.
Most likely - you griefed repeatedly or used offensive language in the game.
No one is banned for no reason.

This.
Looks like the checksum of the map file is not correct and needs to be re-downloaded. Checking integrity of game files should fix this error.
