I live in Taiwan, But here,our publisher change voice in to Bad “chinese” dubbing.
It will really ruin the atmosphere.
So is it possible to find a version have English voice and Chinese Subtitle?
Buy US version?

I live in HK China, and I play with english as my main language, and I’m not sure. I believe what you’re saying is that Voice Actors have changed, and while I have played chinese Halo 3 for campaign, I doubt it. I think you can change subtitles in the game, but for Halo 4, I’m not sure.
Personally, I’m pre-ordering the LE from Amazon as it is region free, so I will get the english version. I believe that subtitles can be added by changing xbox language settings and/or the game itself, but thats about all I know, and i might not be correct.

So are you sure we can buy from Amazon? Is it really region free?
All previous Halo’s and it’s special editions have been region free (As in, NTSC can play NTSC-J and vice versa, but NTSC Xbox cannot play PAL games) so Halo 4 should be no different.

Yeah. You can try this with Halo: Reach or any other game that supports multiple languages: Just change the language setting on the Xbox Dashboard to whatever language you want. Then when you start the game, everything should be in the language you chose.

And here is a Halo 2 montage by Phurion, which he uses a bunch of different languages in the video, so yes, it works.

The Multiplayer Announcer changes depending on your selected language, yes. I think OP is talking about the Campaign voices in the cinematic custscenes.
I’m Japanese, and I wanted to hear the Japanese Master Chief so I changed the language to Japanese. But all you get are the in-game text in your selected language; voices do not change.
So If i buy US version, I can hear English Campaign voices and with Chinese or Japanese Subtitle?

Sorry for the late post… anyways if you buy the US copy, Campaign voices will be in
English, and subtitles will also be in English.

What I mean by in-game text are the ones that appear on your HUD saying stuff like:
“Objective: Save the Civilians” “Objective: Destroy the Radar Jammer” “Objective: Return to Sword Base”

In previous game “Reach” and “ODST”, Bungie made two version for HK and Taiwan, one is Chinese Voice and Chinese Subtitle, and the other one is “English Voice and Chinese Subtitle”
We can choose from between.
But now it seems like only Chinese Voice and Chinese Subtitle version for Halo4.
So I hope 343 can hear us!!!
