Helmet Lights

Am I the only one thinking the lights on the older helmets (ex- Mk lV,Mk V, Mk Vl) should be usable in game/MP?

Yes.

It would be nice since it was useful in the H3 campaign amd the darker maps would be a bit easier.

For what purpose? None of the maps (to my knowledge, at least), are dark to the point where one would need them.

I think there are a few in infection. Plus I think it would just be cool to have for custom games.

I don’t play Infection that much, so I’ll have to double check on that. Custom Games is fine, though I kind of have to raise the question over why it’s just the Mark sets and not all of them. It seems redundant to implement a feature that would be present on only specific sets IMO.

“(ex. Mk lV, Mk V, Mk Vl)”

ex=example.

Though I do think this hypothetical light should be excluded from some helmets because things like (Striker? The one with a giant head and a bunch of little visors) just shouldn’t have it because there is nowhere for the light to come from.

I always loved running around maps with a flashlight, it makes for dynamic gameplay for darker maps. (And it’s kinda cool)

I’m totally for this, It will be cool to see the Forge maps people would come up with.

I’d like a specialized flashlight function like machinima mode.

So true. I think it’s a really cool feature and should be in the next update. Good thinking.

It would need to be the up or down button on the dpad, i just dont remember which one is for the ai allies in the campaign and the ping in multiplayer. Also i cant remember what the other button is used for in multiplayer but in campaign i believe it is to see where to next checkpoint i believe.

On another note how do you use the flashlight on mcc because if i recall correctly it used to be the white or black button the old original xbox had

For campaign you use up on the D-pad to issue commands to your team. And For multiplayer you press down on the D-pad to use the radar ping. So the flashlight would probably be on left or right on the D-pad.

Radar ping is a thing?

And i think flashlight would be a nice addition to the game. especially for campaign and custom games. And since you could manually use your flashlight in Halo CE it wouldn’t be too outlandish to add to Halo 5

In multiplayer if you press down on the D-pad your gamertag will flash yellow for your teammates. its used as a way to signal teammates without talking to them. I use it when i solo queue when i want my team to come to my position or to get there attention. Its surprisingly helpful.

It wouldn’t really be useful for MM.

Maybe just campaign.

I’m all in for flashlights; it’s the little things that count.

Left and right is grenade switch.

Unless squad commands come to MP, I think it would be safe to use that button.
