Does anyone remember Chief looking through Jenkins’ eyes on 343 Guilty Spark in CE? This is the kind of thing I’m talking about, but for EVERY Marine. Basically, it just shows what they saw from spawn until death. If you are attacked while watching the feed, you snap out of it.
This would, IMO, create a great feeling of suspense, especially if you came across a random dead Marine. It could also factor into missions (“Chief, check these Marines helemt cams and report to me” kind of thing).
So, thoughts? This might be a bit unrealistic, but I think it would be a great feature.

This, it’s a great idea and all, but unfortunately it would extremely time-consuming for 343i to make all of these mini-movies and would, inevitably, get very boring over time.
If they have some unused data, sure, but it would get kind of repetitive, picking up a marines’ helmet-cam and seeing him just overrun by Grunts/Elites.

Most helm-cams would be too fried to salvage anything. Cortana would locate and highlight ones still operational. About 12, give or take. They would essentially be Terminals, and imo, WAY more interesting and fun to find than that Sadie garbage.

Yes! This would make for a nice Terminal-style EE with Audio Log-style footage.
We could get a glimpse in an early campaign helmet cam of the Ancient Evil attacking a marine maybe.

Oh, I see. I thought you meant every marine that’s dead on the ground! Haha.
Yes, this would be an awesome idea to possibly even replace terminals and perhaps maybe even a Promethean dead corpse or Covenant. That’d be pretty awesome.
It would be even more fun if you had to find them and go to every dead marine in every mission to try and find it, much like skulls.
I think it would be annoying to be watching a cut scene all the time. it worked in CE because it showed off a new enemy and explained a piece of the story that would otherwise be unexplained.
