Im new, tips i should know about how to play?
Welcome.
If you are looking for multiplayer tips I would say avoid Arena right now. Jump into Warzone to get a feel for the game. Then hook up with some friends and dive into Arena. Breakout is fast and intense while the other modes are from other Halo games.
Always stick with ur team. Learn the weapons. Always carry a precision weapon especially br. Never play when or if u have lag if u want a positive kd. Mine was going at 1.5. then I started lagging. now its 0.7 nd control power ups and weapons.
using ur mic helps, best is playing in a party. Add me if ur interested my lag issues seem to have resolved and I’m rebuiilding
Wow i never expected this much help:D
thank you for helping me im sure that ill do a great job
may i add you guys as my friends?
I would love to help you in playing some halo 5, just right now I’m in school so I’ll just say that my GT is TubbyClient85 and leave off with some tips that I’ve picked up.
-First off, the thruster packs are your friends. You can use them in almost any situation. Shields broken as soon as you round an open corner? Thrust. Someone rushing you for a spartan charge? Thrust. Realizing you didn’t wanna jump off that ledge? Thrust. It’s so useful.
-Second, pay attention to your radar. Even though it’s range is slightly shorter than it used to me, it’s still very useful to see how many enemies are in the room your going into or if someone is trying to run up onto you.
-And finally, stick with your teammates. Halo is a very skill based and objective like game, even if it’s just slayer, people are always going for the power weapons and hold points around the map. Often times if people go alone, they get killed quickly because the enemy probably has the same idea. Don’t be afraid to plug in that mic and say callouts about whats going on.
I’d run through the campaign first to get a feel for the controls. Try out a few configs. along the way. Then hop into Warzone or BTB. Other Arena modes are a little too competitive IMO. And yes, Mic is key for MP elements - quite useful for your teammates when you callout where snipers are or who / where you were killed… and for coordinating flag captures and objective games.

use your mic corrctly.
NOT- heavy Breathing, Music in the background, Kids screaming, racist comments, etc.
My best tip is to not get discouraged at first when you lose games. When I first started playing Halo I could not move without getting killed, at first it was so difficult.
I know it’s cheesy, but practice makes perfect.
May i invite you all to my spartan company?
Learn the maps, position yourself so that you have the advantage, if you have the disadvantage don’t engage or just run away.
Are you new to the Xbox as a whole, to Halo, do you play any other FPSers, what games do you play if any other than Halo?
Helps if you understand your audience before trying to explain some things.

I can agree with this wholeheartedly, you can’t let losses bring down your momentum. With enough patience, friends, and careful strategy. You’ll be the one putting the opposing team/person in their place. I also add my two cents in and try look sensitivity every now and then, sometimes people will increase it to turn around much quicker to dispatch their foes, where some will actually decrease it to make pin-point shots with precision weaponry from the UNSC, Covenant and Promethean factions: Such as the DMR, Beam Rifle, and Light Rifles respectively.
Look sensitivity can be toggled in your controller options, good luck!
If you never played Halo before. Start with the campaign. If you have played Halo or other shooters before, play regular Warzone and stay behind teamates. Not hiding but watching and helping. It is hard to learn and help while you are dead.
Also, have a short memory on the bad things. This game can be EXTREMELY frustrating. If I am not playing with others with mics I curse A LOT. But 8 seconds later I am alive and excited to try again or do something new. Play like that and not only will you get better, but you will enjoy it way more then if you take it too seriously.
Buy the bronze packs first, then after a long time (csr lvl 50ish), move to silver then buy out those reqs for almost ever.
