H5 doesn’t really have loadouts. If you’ve unlocked the DMR, in the Warzone modes you’ll be able to select the DMR as a weapon after earning REQ 6 in a match. You can do this on the spawn screen or the REQ stations on the maps. You’ll need to hit REQ 6 to use the default DMR, but there are some fancy DMRs that have a higher REQ requirement.

Yes, in matchmaking it is only in ranked. You can play it in custom games if you want.

Yes, it’s a feature called descope and it’s been in Halo a lot before. I believe it was present in some of the games you mentioned- halo2, halo3, and ODST. I could be wrong on that though, I have bad memory.

> What happened to the original default controls. Is there a way to turn off the crosshairs?
You can change controls in the pause menu under controller settings. I have no clue why one would want to remove their crosshairs, but I don’t believe there is a way to do it in matchmaking. In the campaign there is a ‘blind’ skull that removes the hud.

> What are all of these new REQ packages and why are there 25 different types of Battle Rifles?
Reqs are lootboxes. Or lootcrates. It’s how the unlocking works. There are multiple battle rifles because they all have slightly different characteristics. They can be used in the WarZone modes.
