Hello? 343, Hello?

Would it too difficult for someone (an intern at least!) to at least post here or on Twitter that they know something is going on with the servers and that it’ll be taken care of? All weekend I (and apparently I’m not alone) wasn’t able to finish a game of BTB. I tweeted the Halo account everytime I got booted and the only things being posted on the Halo twitter is some crap about the HCS. Seriously, a little communication isn’t asking for much.

I haven’t had the same problem as you but i too dislike how they don’t seem to respond on their own forums…only reddit? Really? We cant email them cuz they have no public email. We have to get on reddit?

Communication may be a tad difficult right now… they ARE still in the process of moving their entire company.

I understand people want to hear an update, but that’s a risk 343i takes: Once you update people that you’re even simply “aware” of the problem (which they no doubt are), people start expecting solutions within the hour. Official acknowledgement is risky because that starts the real timer for peoples’ impatience - they expect solutions as soon as an official rep acknowledges the problem is known within the company.

Can’t DM them on Twitter, either.

How difficult is a Twitter post? I see other developers or whatever tweet that they know stuff is going on and are working to fix the problem.

Seriously. +1 to this post. Bravo, which is supposed to be their “community” guy is completely ignoring the whole situation. He hasn’t even addressed the situation on his twitter. Frustrating.

Update: Nevermind, he JUST now replied to someone asking about the servers.

Really? Have a link to that?

Again, this is just my opinion - I have no professional experience - but people project a timer onto the company once there is a posted acknowledgement of the problem. They don’t even have to say “We’re working on it.” If they say “We’ve acknowledged there’s an issue”, many players start expecting solutions within an hour or two. I only say that because in the past whenever I’ve seen companies say they recognize a multiplayer problem, if it’s still there within the hour threads start popping up as people complain that it still isn’t fixed.

I’m not going to pretend I know what’s going through their heads, but I do know that A) They’re aware of it, surely and B) They’re moving their entire studio so that still complicates things by we don’t know how much.

They only respond when their game is literally unplayable aka when servers are down. God forbid they address some of the major issues the community has been bringing to their attention since launch. Literally the bone minimum and its only to save face. Theres games with dev teams in the single digits who do a better job of communication.
