As someone who actually likes the Hellcat helmet, I feel that I should point out that the visor isn’t rendered correctly or simply is missing a filepath or something like that.
I am aware of one other thread that brought up this issue, however, the OP had no reasons to support their claims.
My reasons for making this assumption are threefold-
- The Hellcat helmet has its visor display correctly in the customization section of Waypoint.
- The CIO helmet had the same blank white visor in Halo 4, and in Halo 5, it is correctly rendered.
- The overall lack of equip-able customization options makes the ability to choose a unique visor that much more important.
I hope that 343 can remedy this, as the Hellcat set is in my opinion a great addition to the game.
I have wondered myself if those white lines are supposed to be where the visor texture goes. I love the helmet, and I’d use it if my visor mattered with it.

Huh. I never thought about that before. I personally don’t really care for the hellcat helmet too much but I’d like to see it if I could use my visor.

That’s exactly how I feel, it’s one of my favorite helmets and it’s a real shame to see this mistake made again after they corrected it on the CIO helmet for Halo 5.
I guess you can’t expect everything to be perfect with such a big game, but armour is a big deal now that you have to get lucky with the REQ system. I am surprised that nobody noticed it pre-launch.
The Hellcat is based on Ancient Human Warrior’s helmets, which had red visors, so it’s a little puzzling as to why this one isn’t changeable.
Oh yeah one of my favorite sets.

I thought I heard that somewhere… That’s pretty damn awesome.
Let’s hope that 343 see this!
I checked that as soon as I saw this and by God you people are right. That is weird. I always assumed that it was like in game just cause that’s how it’s supposed to be. Same with venerator and cio in halo 4.
