Anyone else think the Hellcat armor looks similar to the Didacts armor from halo 4? - specifically the arms and the chest.

Hellcat is actually based on the armor of ancient human soldiers who fought the Forerunners that we see in the Halo 4 terminals.

I also believe it was the design chosen by the winners of that one contest where you could design a piece of armor for Halo 5. Really went original, I see.

Least its actually got some lore connection unlike 98% of the rest of the armor…

To be fair, few of the armors actually have lore to them. Like how Decimator is the closest thing to the Mark VII armor Naomi used in Glasslands. And how Void Dancer is being tested to be the new Odst armor.

I know, and I HATE IT. Im a lore addict. Give me something I can WORK WITH 343.
And Im pretty sure Buccaneer is an upgraded SPI varient…remains of a Headhunter perhaps
