Hi everyone! So I was playing the Master Chief collection campaigns 1-4 on Legendary for a good portion of my weekend. Hoping to obtain helioskrill armor I saw a video of people stating they were trying to get it pre-launch. I am now very far through the game and have a question, Was helioskrill only available before the launch of halo 5? Or can I still unlock it from completing the MCC on legendary? Thanks in advance.
I believe you can still unlock it.
You can unlock it via mcc still.
Problem is it isnt special anymore. Not only are there two skinned versions making it less special but the base armor, the one you get by beating mcc on legendary, it can be obtained by req packs.
Lol im just to lazy to run through it again. hahaha although im considering running it for nostalgia reasons with a team of course.
I just got it in a req pack. The same one you will get running MCC legendary. Doesn’t seem fair to me. They should have kept it special. MCC legendary would be tough. I started it one day then decided it was too much.
Its in the REQ system as well but MCC does give it to you instantly.
Anyways there’s a much cooler chest added with the didacts hand splayed across the chest, kinda like the white hand of saruman.
I appreciate all of the quick responses and I do adknowledge the armor is in the req system but the fact remains that it is a legendary req and therefore difficult the get. I also have come too far with the campaigns with: Halo’s 3&4 done, ten missions left on 2, and a couple left on CE.

It is a pain but it would be awesome to accomplish such a feat! That would mean I will have beaten every Halo campaign on leendary excluding spartan assault, spartan strike()

Those are arcades and my bad I accidentally hit submit. The other halo’s include odst and wars but I was not a huge fan of those anyway.
You can still get it. And you have always been able to get it from req pack it’s just really really rare.

I am looking to get it based on accomplishment not pay for a cool set of armor. I don’t exactly have the time to grind out pack after pack on halo 5 when I could be having a good time with my buddy playing MCC split screen. Albeit frustrating it is a good goal to go for I encourage anyone who loves halo to do the same and play it how it was meant to be played.
