It’s now in the Req pack system. My friend got the Helioskril helmet his second ever gold pack. It’s kind of stupid because those that earned it are lumped together with ones that got it in a pack. Earning it takes some serious skill…
Anyhow many people claim it’s basically cheating to get it in a REQ pack, so that could be what that’s about. Maybe there’s a glitch, I’m not sure though.
i got legit, no 0x skulls H2 was a nightmare but I did it. i had to do all games solo. if I didn’t have crap internet could have done it co op but didn’t want to burden a another person with someone who can’t play properly due to lag.

I did the same only I did Halo 3 co-op split screen
I got it by beating Halo 1-4 on legendary. I did it solo, brought me back
I wish 343I never put this armour set into REQ packs. It really took the “coolness” per say, away from it when they did this. It meant something before and does to me still as I know how I got it, but not when I see others wearing it as I don’t know how they got it.
That’s not cheating, in that case also the speedruns would be considered cheating, TMCC it’s glitchy, 343i does nothing to fix the game… I got it by beating Halo 1-4 on legendary (solo)… I don’t know why but the par time was not registered correctly and I get the same time on some levels, I used the bandana skull only on the last levels of Halo CE and Halo 2 (Legendary)
I honestly think complaining about the achievement to get helioskrill is kinda useless. I believe the intention of the armor was to give an incentive to play the older games again, and it would be dished out as a side reward, Not as a grind to get a semi cool armor set. Plus it’s in the req system already, so you will get it eventually. Oh yeah also if you ask me helioskrill is an armor that makes you look like a “try hard” or “griefer”, so over all it’s not worth wearing it…

Before they released it in the REQs, it was only obtainable by beating all of the games on Legendary. Heck… The only reason I got the xbox one was to play MCC and beat all games on Legendary.

Yeah it does suck they did that but seeing how MCC was one of the most botched releases of all time and was bugged long after release it’s understandable why they did put it in the req system.

You get helioskrill by doing all the campaigns on legendary,legendary in under 3 hrs has nothing to do with it so what are you talking about
To the OP’s question, I’m pretty sure that the 1:40:39 time thing is for using the bandana skull etc.
That said, MCC is super dooper glitchy and the service record on Waypoint doesn’t always update. I’ve beaten par times legit on most CE levels and H2 levels and most of my times still have that arbitrary number.
Who cares, honestly? If they use skulls like Bandana and the Scarab Gun, who cares? Does it affect you or anyone else? No, it doesn’t in the slightest. This thread should just be locked if you ask me.

On my “try hard scale” I rate them almost the same. For helioskrill you have to be good at 4 games campaigns, and for Achilles you have to grind on 1 games multiplayer. Then again I shouldn’t view all people who where helioskrill as campaign tryhards, some people (including me) just got it out of req packs. However the HCS athalon, which basically is marked with the symbols of people who actually try really hard and are basically pros, I view as just a normal armor and don’t see any tryhardness(?) in it at all. Guess I’m just weird…
