Might be off topic but I completed the MCC Legend achievement a while back and have yet to recieve my Helioskrrill armor unlock? Is there a next step?
The ‘next step’ is to go back into the menu of missions in the MCC and look at your completion level for each one. Step through them all and as you see that you have done all on Legendary, you should also trigger the achievement to show up in H5. (Sometimes you have to kick it to make it do its thing.)

I have the achievement unlocked physically. Should the achievement trigger in Halo 5 also?
There is no record that you completed H3 and H4. You can check on waypoint. Until it is recorded on waypoint, you will not get the armor. It did this for me, and I had to go back and complete a few campaigns. In your case you need to complete h3/h4.
