With the new update preview you can see many cool reqs like decimator and the gravity hammer. But, through the blur you can see that duckbill. The Mythic HELIOSKRILL. The badYOINK armor you get from beat all Halos (even H2) on LEGENDARY. This armor reminds me of Hayabusa, an armor that took determination to unlock, and rewarded you with a yoinka tight armor(sorry for the 06 slang). And even though it was unlocked for everyone after a while, doesnt mean it should of been. Im not trying to build any walls for those that didnt get the MCC, but that armor was the result of us reliving the Halo Saga. I dont know the full story of these new skins but please try to add some way of earning them. Maybe Halo 5 on Legendary idk.

one has a ton of lines and one has a Jul Mdama theme
There should definitely be an unlock only armor/emblem for solo legendary campaign completions.

I’ll never understand why people affix such legendary status to cosmetics in Halo games. Looks are always greater than the how or the why you wear it, sure some items might take more effort than others but if that’s why you wear them, you’re doing it wrong. I don’t care if its Recon, Hayabusa, a flaming helmet or Elite armor, its all just cosmetic. If they want to release more skins for the armor, so be it. Your original skin is still exclusive, no harm done.
I would like to see more paths to earn armor in-game though, kind of pissed that I’m nowhere near getting my Mark V helmet because of RNG.

Neither of them are Mythic, and they look drastically different from the current Helioskrill.

If I’m remembering correctly, security and the katana were awarded for getting all achievements (I’m likely wrong). But DLC made the achievements go to 1750. Hayabusa was awarded for finding all the skulls.

I got it through that 1000G with the dlc, it took me forever to get a kill with a tripmine and do the last of the campaign scoring, but i remember getting it pretty quickly with my brother on his account after a free for all game where everyone got 2 for 1 with the spartan laser because it was organized in the load in lobby. Those were simpler times.

Agreed. I had a lot harder time playing Halo 5 CO-OP in Heroic then I did playing in solo Legendary

Hahaha I actually remember people organizing to cheat for achievements in lone wolves. Id get my achievement and then prevent others from getting it afterwards. Mongoose splatter is what took me alot of time for some reason.
