Hi, I’ve looked everywhere for a straight answer but I can’t find any.
Helpful Skulls in MCC like Bandana and Envy don’t unlock certain achievements, like Par Time, Par Score, and Level Completion achievements. But when you complete a level with the skull on, on the campaign screen, it does show you completed it on the difficulty you used the skull on.
My friend and I want to get Helioskrill but Halo 1 and 2 Legendary is insanely difficult and while we’ve done them before (I did Halo CEA Legendary solo and Halo 2 (original Xbox) Legendary), it would be helpful if we can use those skulls without screwing ourselves out of the armor.
Does anyone know for certain if Helioskrill will still unlock when using skulls like Bandana, Scarab, Envy, Bonded Pair, etc?
Not sure if you can use skulls. I did it without skulls, solo. There are difficult moments, but you and your partner should be able to get through it. You can see videos on youtube that show tips on how to complete.

Me and my buddy did IWHBYD and Grunt birthday on all 4 games. You can use the Grunt funeral on the ones that have it. It makes them go by fast, but it’s pretty cheep. If you have a score, you can do it. Bandana and the other ones that have a x0 multiplier will not count towards the achievement.

Same here. I only used the daddy and bday skulls but no funeral or x0 skulls.
I used the IWHBYD skull and the Grunt Birthday Party skull during my legendary playthrough of the Master Chief Collection, back during the Halo 5 Beta. But back then, the achievements would actually pop, unlike today with the bugged achievements. But I know for sure that those two skulls work on all four games.
I got the progress for every level, and I got the Legendary achievement for Halo CE…but my friend didn’t. She got progress (Highest Difficulty completely) for every level, but on the Waypoint site, it doesn’t show progress for any of the levels we used the Bandana skull on. Needless to say, she didn’t get the achievement. And yes, I was host.
So, oddly enough, Host gets progress AND Legendary achievements, but the 2nd player gets in-game progress, no Waypoint site stats progress, and no achievement. Really weird and disappointing and WE GOTTA RUN THROUGH IT ALL OVER AGAIN WITHOUT THE SKULL DANG.
Omg no. Turn off your skills right now. Unless you want to finish everything and then bang your head against a wall, turn them off. It won’t work if you use them. ANY of them.

Exact same issue here. Except it went on to The Sacred Icon.
People are lying to you, you cannot use any 0X multiplier skulls.
i unfortunately had it on for the whole of Halo 1 and despite the game saying I completed it the achievements for completing levels did not unlock. Had to redo it to get my Helioskrill. Worth it though as it looks so good.
I finished Halo 2 with 5 skulls on and it’s not because of the skulls that you don’t get the achievements it’s the game itself. After finishing the campaign I looked over all the missions and it does say I beat them all on legendary but the achievements say I only beat the first 4 and I used 5 0x multiplier skulls. None being the scarab gun. They say only 7% of Halo 5 players have Helioskrill because halo ce and 2 are so hard but I say it’s because no one is getting the damn achievements on the first go and no one wants to waste another who knows how many hours playing it all again.
I’ve completed CE, H2, H3 and H4 on the MCC in legendary and I’ve earned the Legend achievement,but the Helioskrill is still unlocked. Why? The only skull I’ve used was IWHBYD
I read a post which I just tested out saying that if you already finished the mission on legendary, no matter the amount of skulls if you don’t get the achievements just redo the mission on easy (I’m doing it solo) the achievement for completing the mission will pop up and wait about 2-5 minutes, go to Halowaypoint on your profile and check Halo Master Chief collection Halo 2 mission stats. For single player it’ll say you finished the mission on easy or whatever the highest level you finished it at. Then switch to co-op if you had finished it co-op legendary and it should say you finished that mission on legendary. I just redid Delta Halo and if you check my stats it now says it was done co-op legendary. If you don’t believe me wait about 15 minutes I’m going to start regret on easy now. I’ll put another post when I’m done.
Well here is my story OP, hope you find it useful.
I beat Halo CE 7 times on legendary (Bandanna Skull On) and in none of those playthroughs di I get credit for finishing the missions, then I switched to no skulls and the missions unlocked without any problem.
Then I tried Halo 2 with the scarab skull, same problem happened, I would finish the mission but it would not count, so I grabbed a partner and went through all campaigns (1 week grind" with no skulls on and finally on friday we unlocked the Legend achievement and the Helioskril armor.
Check my stats for halo 2 it says that I beat the mission Sacred Icon on legendary co-op and easy solo. So if you don’t get the achievement just play the missions that haven’t been registered on Waypoint play them on easy wait 5 minutes and it will say it was done legendary co-op.
