Heavy Armor Elites

Would you like to face special elites with heavy armor kinda like brute cheiftans but bigger and stronger elites maybe with forerunner armors idk, good or bad idea ?

Its an alright idea… perhaps an Elite Zealot could finally be a expert class it is so claimed to be… Stronger shields, dual wielding energy swords, energy staves etc.

Or maybe like spec ops soldiers like the ones in Halo 1 those were insane.

The Chieftains in Halo 3 were pretty unpleasant to fight if you didn’t aim for a headshot or backsmack.

Armor that nullifies the golden triangle’s efficiency is unacceptable.

They were cheap, I’d rather not see that again.

Won’t do much if it doesn’t have a good AI. The Zealot AI in Halo 4 is pretty decent compared to their predecessors.

So Hunters were bad for Halo.

Honestly?

I’d rather just have Brutes back instead of Elites with a Brute skin.

It’s a neat idea, but the varying grades of energy shields for Elites is enough, IMO.

EDIT: Then again, changing the Elites up wouldn’t be a terrible idea, and would keep fighting them fresh.

I find that this would add a more boss-type unit to the playing field, awesome! Brute Chieftains and Hunters added more challenge to the player and gave us sometimes a gush of adrenaline. Elite hierarchs however are very easy to beat. Compared to their previous bad*** the Spec Ops in CE, they are very mild. I would like to call such a new class as the Elite Warmongers:

25% More armour than normal

50% More Shield

5% Faster Recharge

10% Faster Speed

Armed with Evade

Armed with Dual Energy Swords, Plasma Rifles, Needlers, and more.

When Shields go down, he switches to energy swords and requires 4-5 headshots to be killed.

When Shields go down, he screeches like the Elites on Reach and Charges at the player 25% faster than normal. He charges with fatigue in every step and when he gets close, jumps at the player with his swords and screams one last time.

True i feel that we need more vaerity into the elites in classes etc they kinda look the same and some heavy trooper would be kinda cool.

I’m okay as long as they don’t give them dual fuel rods!

What about flamethrower style weapon

What about those Elites that killed the HeadHunters, or an Elites equivalent answer to a Spartan. Make their AI extremely challenging.

I want those type of elites so badly into the game.

Do you mean like a Zealot? It would be awesome to fight them if they had two energy swords and perhaps stronger shields or armor. It would be terrifying to fight them, but at the same time it would be epic and a real challenge.

Could be fun!

If nothing else, an Elite Zealot that has two energy swords and can block bullets from the front.

I found Halo CE, 2, and 3 all did a great job making different ranked Elites feel like different enemies, a lot better than Halo 4, where it feels like you have your regular ones, your fuel rod ones, and your invisible ones.

Halo 2 especially had: Minor/Major (and Heretic equivalent) (Basic Elites, heck on Legendary these guys were tough enough as it was), Ultras (moved super fast, heavy shields, often dual wielding with crazy accuracy), Zealots (heavy shields and energy swords), Rangers (not the jump-pack kind, the hovering all over the sky kind), Honor Guards (Slightly less overpowered Zealots, often found in larger numbers), and Stealth Elites (Invis). There was also the Heretic Boss, one of the hardest fights in the entire series.

Read it in context. Read the title of the op.

Heavy armor Elites. It’s been overdone. They’d be more challenging if their AI was improved (which, of course, very few people on here appreciate…). Bullet sponges are not the answer.

Oh and btw, the Hunters in each Halo game were susceptible to the golden triangle. Grenades didn’t bounce off of them, they didn’t have something completely blocking their weak spot, and melees actually made them flinch.

I am going to have to disagree with eveything you just said.

Why do you disagree?

The more variety of enemies, the better. Especially since the Elites have been around since day one. Sometimes things just get old.

And if the UNSC is incorporating Forerunner tech in their Prefect armor, there is no reason why the Sangheli can’t too…

Didact.
