heavy aim

heavy aim isnt entirly fixed. anyone agree???

You know, this is something I hear a lot of talk about. The idea of heavy aim has been around a while, and there’s certainly no greater confirmation of its existence than the developer issuing a patch to fix it. So with that in mind I have to accept that heavy aim is a real thing. I also have to accept it because I have not found in two years of Halo 5 that there is any gun in the arsenal that I can aim. For this failing I would rather blame myself in a million different ways than use heavy aim as a get-out-of-jail-free card. But the truth is either that heavy aim is real (and still not fixed) or that a million other factors (age, lag, laziness, a low frustration threshold) are all conspiring to prevent me from being able to function in this game. The former certainly seems like the simpler and more credible situation. But I’m still reluctant to believe it because that would mean that I’ve been beating my head against the Halo 5 wall for two years now over something that isn’t my fault and that I can’t fix. And that kinda makes me mad.

Definitely not fixed but not any near as bad as it had been.

Welcome to the club.

After the hotfix my heavy aim was clean for a couple of days but slowly came back after that. Since then, I’ve only played H5 a few times of the past couple months and would love to come back if only the heavy aim was completely fixed. I simple cannot hit shots with heavy aim.

I think it’s a bit misleading/confusing because of the terminology “heavy aim” because there’s actually 2 separate issues.
What 343 fixed was the rapid changes in sensitivity from moment to moment within the match, which is what was introduced in H5.
But what they didn’t address was the inconsistency between different maps (and possibly servers?), which people have been complaining about since H3 on forge maps.
The latter of the two, I doubt will ever be fixed directly – it’s likely just going to take faster hardware that isn’t limited in processing power.
Unless there’s actually an issue with the code itself, there’s a decent chance that it won’t happen on the Xbox One X. So even if 343 ignores the issue, you might still be able to escape it if you’re willing to upgrade.

u think they will fix it in xbox one x version

This happens to me too. It is not near as bad, but it still happens occasionally. At this point, I have given up hope that it will be ever be 100% fixed in Halo 5, and hopefully Halo 6 will be cleaner.
