im trying to talk with a friend through game chat, but the chat is heard from my laptop’s speakers instead of my headphones which come thru a different output device since they’re connected to my xbox controller (only way I can connect both input and output through one cable.)
You need to go into Windows ‘Sound settings’ → ‘Sound Control Panel’ and set your headphones to ‘Default Communication Device’. That fixed it for me.
