HEAR your opponents while Assassinating!

So I’ve always like this one idea. It originated with Splinter Cell online. In Splinter Cell, when you grab your opponent from behind, you can talk to them, and then proceed to flaunt your manliness (or womanliness), or whisper sweet nothings in their ear.

I’d love to see this implemented in Halo 4. It would be sweet to assassinate someone, and while you’re mid-annimation, be able to throw in a quick one-liner.

What do you guys think? What sorts of things would you say?

EDIT: Some people are mentioning Proximity Voice. I dislike Proximity Voice. It’s quite a bother to have to stop talking when an opponent in nearby so that you do not alert them to your location, which hurt team communication. In the Assassination-Voice mechanic, you could not hear an opponent’s voice until they assassinated you.

Too bad game voice is turn off and I only speak with my team inside a private chat. :o)

say hello to my little friend!

“I always did like to make a POINT!” - Terrible One Liner 101

God, I would hate it if I had to put up with something like that whenever I got assassinated (Fact: in all my hours of playing Halo: Reach online, I was not assassinated once nor did I make any assassinations. I felt it was underused.)

“I like turtles.”

Yeah I remember that from splinter cell. It was kinda fun to get your revenge on them because you can trash talk. That would be pretty sweet for Halo 4. It would be like Halo 2 online all over again! Haha because you can hear the other team and everything.

Put proximity voice on and there is a chance you’ll get this opportunity.

No worst idea ever

Hmm…pretty good idea. That’d be sweet.

You can already hear people through your headset when you’re close to them in the game.
Forget wich setting you had to turn on though.

It would work perfect if there were voices from the game to say it for you…like firefight voices…

“Nice visor ba,wait what? YOU´RE A MAN, oh yoink you!”

I wouldn’t mind if they changed it while were assassinating your enemy you would press the back button to do a taunt like voice you would do in fighting game, and you would hold the back button to bring up the scoreboard.

“Tag, your it!”

> Put proximity voice on and there is a chance you’ll get this opportunity.

The issue with proximity voice is that then players can hear you very often, and it eliminates the element of surprise, so when you’re near an opponent, you almost have to stop communicating with your team so that they don’t know you’re there.

I’d like it if there was just the little window open for the 4-second assassination. Just enough time to throw in something fun at them.

That’s why there’s the Mute button

Put naughty adult content through the mic. Hopefully then the little kids parents will hear it through their mics and ban them from the xbox.

fantastic idea, i still support this!

I do this all the time with my friends, they hate it.
