Health Packs and AI Bots

343, please bring health packs back. I hate regenerating health, and so do others in the gaming community. Regenerating shields you can keep, but don’t bring regenerating health into the mix.

Will you add AI bots into the multiplayer with customizable options? Let us set their personalities such as having one bot use a super shield that gives them higher protection at the cost of making that shield non-rechargeable, and another bot that will destroy vehicles so other players can’t drive them. Oh, how about a sharpshooter that will use sniper rifles like a professional? Give us the ability to set the difficulty, personality, and appearance like the simulants in Perfect Dark. The Xbox One should be powerful enough to have bots like these in the game. I don’t care about graphics, I want awesome gameplay. If you can’t add in those customizable options, can you at least add bots still?

I think the bots would be great for custom games and machinimas. Also, I think that the boys should be able to be set as enemies so that you could create custom levels or firefights of sorts, which is one of the things I wish were in the other games.

I agree that Health Packs should make a return in Halo: Infinite. I also think that AI-BOTS would be a great addition, and even better if they were placable in forge. Then we could essentially create our own mini-campaigns and potentially new types of customs.

I really like how in the Doom Snapmap mode you can spawn enemies anywhere on any map. It would be a fantastic edition to Custom Games if players could spawn enemies in certain locations, or just have random Elites and Spartans balance out certain teams, or make up their own teams in Multi-Team. I can see your idea working out very well.

I’m positive the Xbox One could handle this kind of AI, it’s not even that tasking. The only reason I see it not being implemented is due to 343’s lack of motivation to innovate. Since 2012, it’s been more than obvious how 343 would rather rip off abilities and gimmicks in other popular games rather than being innovative themselves and making a game that stands out.

Hardly any games on the market allow players to spawn and characterize editable AI. Having highly customizable AI in Multiplayer, Customs, and Firefight (if it returns) would be a fantastic way for 343 to prove they’re capable of doing more than following trends.

I’ve mentioned this in another thread, but can’t remember which.

I loved the health packs in CE. It made me more strategic as I went through particular parts of each level. If there was a high number of enemies, I would have to use strategy and skill to get through them without losing too much health. Then if I couldn’t find a health pack, I would pay dearly. It was fun and challenging. With purely regenerative shields like in H2, I could just run through a group of enemies, take a few out, hide so my shields could magically regenerate, and repeat. It required less strategy and skill. Don’t get me wrong, that was fun, but it wasn’t as challenging as having to safeguard my health throughout each enemy encounter. Plus, with a health bar, there’s a definitive point where you know you’re gonna die. Without it, it’s harder to gauge how many more hits you can take.

It wasn’t as challenging as having to safeguard my health throughout each enemy encounter… until you played on legendary.
