So after playing a lot of matches, and I try to pull away from fights and take cover:
that’s when an idea came to me.
What if they added health kits spawns some places around the maps with a long respawn timer.
Let’s say 4 spawns in total, 2 on each side of the map. On the small maps.
I think this would be a nice touch.
Because many times when I take cover somewhere, it would be nice to take my health quick back.
Before I get chased down.
I don’t really know if this would change the game up a lot or ruin the competetive side of it.
I think it would be a nice edition to MP.
What are your thoughts on this idea?
Would it improve the Infinite MP experience?

Halo: Combat Evolved called, it said it wanted it’s healthpacks back.
But to be frank with you, this would be really gimmicky with no real reason to exist. It’s just a get-out-of-jail-free card in the form of free health and shields for doing absolutely nothing, just like the overshield was in the first weeks of Season 2’s Last Spartan Standing mode.

Perhaps make a health-it be a pick-up Spartan Equipment item?
It would be an expendable and valued resource that will, by holding down a button and entering a small animation akin to the Overshield/Active Camo animation, skip the recharge delay on your shields and health bars while also recharging them at a rate of 1.25x faster than normal.

I like the idea, but is it honestly all that functionally different from OS at that t point?
Overshield is a power-up equipment and is single use. This would be two charges before it is depleted and you would have the option of using it on a teammate with the press of a secondary-button while using the action button; allowing you to play the role of a Medic.

It would just be one more thing for players to keep track of, and it would be most useful if you’re losing a gun fight.
This isn’t Monopoly, we don’t need Get out of Jail Free cards.
You are doing something. You try to stay alive by leaving a loosing gunfight, taking cover to regain shields.
Staying alive can be the reason for winning a game.
I have to disagree with you, but only because I’m kind of tired of nearly every modern FPS game having a Stim/Heal Equipment. What started as a neat or obscure ability in a few games has really become a go-to equipment for a lot of high-octane players. I feel like having an unpredictable ability to accelerate your healing is often a frustrating mechanic that turns a fight solely because your opponent got behind a pillar or barrier and jabbed a needle in his arm.
We have the Overshield but that is on a slower, clearly telegraphed respawn with a single, slow use and is clearly visible.
Sounds like a terrible idea honestly. Gives more reason to just peak out of high ground doorway and be able to infinently spam shots
Health packs should return.
That’s why I mentioned a long respawn timer.
Fore example one match, each team spawns with two health kits on their side of the map.
If they use them, they won’t respawn again until later when the match is almost over.
So let’s say a match lasts 10 mins, then you get one more respawn in 9 mins.
Or maybe just one spawn of 4 health kits each match.
To not make it a camping thing.
I am simultaneously skeptical that it is necessary, or niche enough by comparison to OS. But the only real way to know is to play test, which I’d be game to do.
How sweet would it be if custom equipment is a feature in forge? It’s not a huge leap from custom powerups to that.

I don’t think we need healing items added into the regular gameplay. With enough skill or luck you can regen your shield and health to full within 10 seconds.
Healing equipment could possibly create an interesting game type to dabble in every now and then in Custom Games or a Team Action Sack like playlist. (I think VampireBall is tons of fun!)
