Health bars? Or none?

What do you guys think? Should Halo 4 have visible health like Halo CE and Reach? Or no visible health like halo 2 and 3?

I say Halo2-3 style. Wouldn’t health bars be like a downgrade in tech? Also we are unstoppable SII’s again, not struggling, savaging SIII’s.

Either way it should fully regenerate. I shouldn’t be penalised for winning a fight and surviving overtime.

Health bars are fine by me so long as they recharge automatically. That is to say, no medpacks.

I’d like a bit of a combination of the health bar and regeneration systems. Similar to the Elites health that regenerated over time but also some medpacks on maps to instantly recharge health.

That being said I really don’t want to go back to the Halo 2/3 system of runaway and hide whenever your shields are down with the screen flashing red.

Dude, Health bars are like totally over-rated. Besides doesn’t everyone remember how like gnar gnar every game of H2/3 was… chaaa?

I agree, Yes the Halo 2/Halo 3 style oh health/shield bars are wonderful, but there as been times in both Halo CE and Halo Reach that I’ve gotten down to one health bar, and lived long enough to not only kill off the enemy team, but also get my shields back up, and with a shield bar, all it shows, is shields. If they keep the health bar, I say make it recharge automatically like the shields, maybe not as quick, but quick enough to save you when you need it.

Halo 2/3’s system was great.

I think that there should be visible health because it lets the player know exactly how much health they have. As some others said, it should recharge fairly quickly and not include health packs.

well in H2 it was health you slowly regenerated too. i think both options should remain but the H2-3 way was better for MM because it didnt slow down the game to go “oh where is there a med kit” also they had a harder time placing them on the maps in reach. i even found medkits hidding behind rockets and i was like “WTF??? who was ever gonna look there?”

If health bar returns, health meter should stop displaying once the player has received middle damage (dark yellow on the bar). That would be enough for me to know that I need cover. I would like recharging shields and health though.

Well, the MARK VI automatically heals Your wounds, so health packs wouldn’t be worth anything. Though I’d still like a health bar to show you it’s time to take cover to heal.

The reason there is no health bar on Halo2 and 3 its because we are using MK VI which has auto biofoam, on halo CE and Reach, we are using MK V. It will be stupid if MC wakes up to find a health bar on his displays ( WTF!! cortana!! did i receive a downgrade? )

It would be cool to have a Visible Health Bar, but with a Halo 2/3 health system (COMPLETE HEALTH RECOVERY). Just for visual effect, also helps to see how long you can last against a non precision weapon on no shields etc.

I hate having to worry about my health. It slows down gameplay by tons. Plus, its not fun having to hear that endless thumping sound every time you go low on health. I want invisible, rechargeable health, no health packs and no fall damage (unless its a cliff or something).

Totally agree and also multiplayer wise if someone got in a 1v2 and killed both enemies because he had more skill then he probably lost a little bit of health meaning that people with less skill who just spawn have a slight advantage over people who are better then them who lost healh in a 1v2 scenario and the less skilled player has to hit less shots and without health then the skilled player is vulnerable to grenades that would almost instantly kill him in reach
