headshot detection

I have always found headshots to be very dependant on the connection to the server. I have hit people in the toe and have got a headshot but sometimes carnt get them much at all, its different every game. I don’t understand and its putting me off the game. Has anyone else found this to be the case.

Playing a lot of SWAT I see where my shots land on a player’s head but it doesn’t count, other times my shots land in the collar bone area and it counts as a headshot. I’m pretty sure it’s just caused by lag. Same as when there’s a delay between your shot connecting and the hit detection actually counting it as a kill.

You should probably head to theater, make some clips and share them with us. Without clips this topic doesn’t start much conversation.

I would but unfortunately the theatre mode does not show a true representation of where your reticle is, aka its broken. most people know this so its not really proof of anything.

A toe shot turned into a headshot for real? I am skeptical, but open to being proven wrong. Link to the clip?

I blame the games hit detection.

theatre doesn’t work well enough to prove my point, I could have used DVR but I didn’t think about it. I will say verticality was involved so its not as much of a stretch as you would think.
