Hey so I’m in the market for some premium gaming headset. I’ve been reading up on some on the internet and I find that the Astro A50 and Turtle Beach Stealth 500x are the most premium ones out there, for the X1 atleast.
Anyway I am looking for some input, what are you guys using? Do you recommend a pair? I am looking for one that is premium that has awesome sound, I wanna be able to hear footsteps and all that good stuff.

i have the Turtle Beach Stealth 500x (wasted money on a stereo adapter for my old trittons)
havent had a problem yet (had them since the october release),
7.1 sound is glorious. Chat works well too.
It’s nice to have something that works straight out of the box. Zing! 343, Zing!
Ive heard the A50’s are sweet too.

The only bad thing I can find on the A50 is the mic quality, here’s a clip on how it sounds http://youtu.be/w7_rIOar6_I?t=6m22s have you watched any Movies with your 500x? I am meant to use the headset as my main audio because the sound in my sony w905 tv aint the best 
No one use headsets?
I’ve had 2 pair’s of astro A 40’s and I’ve also used turtle beaches and to me there is no comparison the astros win every time. By the way i had 1 set of astros from 2006-2014 only recently had to buy new ones.
I use my turtle beach xp500
had to get the adapter so the Kinect would not be my mic, but I have no complaints. haven’t tried any newer models

they have a preset for movie (xtra jack to connect into stereo devices also) sounds very good. Mike is clear and robust construction.
Only complaint would be the ear cups fabric pil very easily, i shave my head so stubble is wearing out the fabric.
