My headset wants to act like it’s not only then when I get it to “Work properly” it shows continuous noise or chatter coming from my mic on the team menu. Not sure what I’m looking for… anyone had similar problems or know how to fix?
Do you have mic monitoring on?
Have you tried contacting the manufacturer? There’s likely not much support for you here.
Especially with you not sharing the make/model lol. I wouldn’t know how to troubleshoot your headset when I don’t know what headset you have. Is it the default one that comes with the Xbox one?

I have the “basic” headset. It’s the Microsoft xbox1 headset that is wired, not wireless. I plug it into my controller and the first game it worked I was hearing people and able to communicate… now when I plug it into my controller most of the time it wont even show on the game screen that I have a mic in it still has a chat box by my name.
I would try contacting Microsoft support to see if they’ll replace it. If they don’t, it’s likely time to go shopping for a new mic.

I was going to say that you could turn that on and you might be able to hear through your headset if it is picking up any extra sound around you.

If that is what’s going on or becomes a part of my issue I will defiantly do that, thanks!
