If you bought the game digitally and for whatever reason are not at all satisfied with the purchase, Microsoft can in fact refund you.
Simply go to their support chat line and let them know about your issue.
To those who do enjoy the game, best of luck out there in the coming months. I do genuinely hope this game gets to have a life span but it needs to undergo some changes for that to happen.

EDIT: It should be noted that this is only a valid option if you haven’t asked for a refund before. Would also think carefully because they claim to only offer this “courtesy refund” once.

I couldn’t refund mine.

They said “We provide one time exception refunds for accidental purchases only made within 5 days provided that the game has not been played.”

Which is a lie. I refunded AW last year after playing for a solid week. Granted, I only wanted to refund so I could re-purchase the 360 version so I could get the free upgrade to XB1. At the time they also said you can refund one per year, NOT one for the lifetime of the account. No doubt it’s on a discretionary basis.
