Well LR is a bit too long range for mlg, so that wont be in.
AR is too easy to aim, along with its udnerpowered counterparts.
Carbine is basically same role, so no need for it really. But 110% damage (if they DO want carbine in) would problem bring it down to a 6-7 shot instead of 8.
Problem is DR has MUCH better range than the BR so at a longer range the BR will still be useless.
It’ll allow it to be better up close, as the DMR is still a very strong contender in an area that the BR is supposed to have a clear advantage (just as the DMR is designed to have a clear advantage far range).
I’d be very interested in at least trying the changes. I started playing with the BR, being a super tryhard at Halo 2 and all, but recently switched to the DMR after realizing how much better it is.

also:i’ll never understand why people say that its so easy to snipe in halo reach/halo 4 i think its alot easier to snipe in halo 3

Well, lets look at the biggest mlg map, which i think is/was construct. A 4 shot br would best a 5 shot DMR in atleast 50% of the sightlines.

Br would still be beaten at long range.
And while the BR is easier for the headshot, this will quicken killtimes, add weapon variety, and make you decide on which to use in what situation.
I think that that would create the BR being much > than the DMR.
Thus, not really solving anything, unless MLG wants BR to be the starting weapon.
I personally think that they are balanced now. But if changes were to come, I think this is overkill and will end up having to be fixed down the line too.
Br and dmr are fine how they are, i really dont understand what everyones talking about use the br in medium range and it excels. If your losing to the dmr its you thats the problem. The kill time may be a lil faster on dmr but why are u shooting at the same and losing to it. Ambush and get the first shot off then finish them off. Everyone acts like every dmr encounter is shot for shot and whoever has the dmr is gonna beat the other person with any other weapon.

They should do it in general. That would give the BR it’s supposed advantage in close-mid and the DMR would retain anything longer than that since the BR sucks beyond that range.

Based on what? They’re many points above that indicate otherwise and you have posted none to the contrary.
they need to do this for h4 mm in general, people love the br, its why they braught it back, lets make it a go to weapon again, over the dmr, which sadly seems to still rule the mm games atm

Your joking, arent you? Not only does damage increase work for the power weapons (mind blowing, right?), the powerweapons are already way too easy to use IE: sniper

Based on the amount of aim assist the BR has, and how it would have a kill time faster by 0.05 seconds. Also DMR has bloom, and the BR doesn’t.
The solution here isn’t to buff the BR’s damage, it’s to decrease the DMR’s fire rate by a small amount, maybe a kill time total of 0.1 less. Making it’s kill time 1.55 seconds, compared to the 1.68 seconds kill time of the BR. The Carbine, Light Rifle, and the BR are all balanced with each other by kill time, but the BR has a little too much aim assist in that aspect. So, lowering the aim assist of the BR would make it balanced with a DMR with a slightly slower ROF.
A damage buff for the BR would just make it OP, unless the rate of fire was quit slower. So I think my solution is a viable one.
