So I’ve been playing Halo 5 only with my TV audio since launch. And recently I’ve gotten a hold of some earbuds. So I decided to try to play Halo with these. Holy ****. If you are interested in playing Arena without so much stress then you need ear buds or headphones. I’m not using the radar as much, because I can hear footsteps and stuff. And my shot has improved from more focus. It feels so good now.
So if you’re an arena player, and you feel that your shot is off, even after some practice, then I would recommend using headphones.
I have a G430 surround sound headset that I use, and it’s improved my sense of where enemies are.
Surround sound via headphones or theatre system makes a huge difference.
I use a turtle beach headset. Turtle beach is the way to go!

There’s this new headphone called something like gx 420…
Lol
I guess there embracing the mlg stereotype. either that or its a wacky coincidence.
I find headphones help and also kill me lol. For example i can hear enemies, but i can hear my team mates as well so i look to see who it is and then get blind sided from enemy.
So do you just plug them into the controller?
I use my trusty ol’ pair of Razer Krakens. These things have lasted me years, and will be the only headset I get from now on.
I use Astro’s A40 headset with mixamp TR.
