Headlong is covered with invisible barriers...

I recently saw a video walkthrough of breakneck/headlong. Every single rooftop is either unreachable or is protected by an invisible barrier. There are also a whole bunch of random beams that are blocked off by countdown barriers… The map looks absolutely incredible and I’m very excited to play it but the barriers disappoint me so very much. CA messed up.

[Edit] The large beam in the center no longer tilts… yay -_-

YES!!! Certain Affinity added background sounds to the map. Looks like this won’t be anothe akward disaster like the defiant map pack!

Back to the main topic, thats pretty lame. Hopefully these soft killzones can be removed in the Headlong version.

I don’t really mind the invisible barriers, but the soft kills are so annoying.

I doubt it. They’re non-editable. Otherwise they wouldn’t have killed him whilst he was in forge.

Soft kill-zones are the invention of the devil. They’re annoying as hell. Worse than needless invisible walls -_-

I was disappointed that the beam didn’t move; it’s static. The thruster from the crashed ship acting as a cannon man was a cool idea. It’s probably gonna give snipers easy headshots though…

Lol, duh! I guess moron syndrome is contagious… “Oh no, it spreading!”

Anyways, I agree. Unfortunatly, the kill-zones are the price we pay to have jetpacks. Not a worthy trade if you ask me.

I’m curious about those beams though. Surely they’ll move when hit by something heavier… right?

So what’s the problem exactly? The fact that you can’t fly the Banshee to the top of the building and snipe from it anymore? God forbid should any have to play within the intended confines of a map. While I loved Halo 2’s multiplayer all the people who glitched in that game to gain an advantage pissed me off.

Eh, Jetpackers had it coming. I’ve had enough of their antics breaking maps. They don’t need to ruin yet another map. Without Jetpacks, these zones wouldn’t exist in the first place true but alas, these are a necessary evil.

Gamesager is going to have a field day with that Banshee though.

why cant 343i make two version with killzones for gametypes with armor abilities so u cant camp and without kill zones so u can experience the same maps as in halo 2 so the only way to get up their is by banshee which is hard to do without getting killed

They should simply add soft and hard kill zones on top of those buildings through forge. That is why the forge has these very items/tools. So we can use them. Sometimes i wonder if the wonderful folk who make these maps think about customs and forge.
This way in matchmaking people won’t be able to reach these areas while in forge or customs they can.
The developers also need to learn how to apply soft and hard kill barriers. Some of the botched up failed attempts that are present in matchmaking to cover up areas make me wonder who they have employed fixing the maps.

really dumb that they are not editable
really, really, infinitely smart they wont allow BTB jetpacking.
