I like the Head on Head mode. I’ve been wanting mode like this since H3. But these are the most asymmectrical maps I have ever seen. I end up playing hide and seek for the whole game. Whoever sees the other person first wins. Plus i have to relearn all the maps. Its not as legit as I thought mostly because the maps but also the fact that you dont even know if the enemy has picked up the radar. And how about br loadouts? I just want a very small, 1 story, little cover, and a symmetrical map. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO LEARN THE MAP IN THE SAME GAME I DISCOVERED IT. Also just one power weapon in the middle. There are guys jumping around the map like Tarzan who just happen to see you first, with or without radar, who obviously know the map, and so right off the bat in a ranked playlist im getting a low rank. Again, I absolutely think this is a great mode and I want to see it do better that’s why I am critisizing it. It just shocked me when your arguably most competitive playlist (in my opinion) was filled with asymmetry, confusion, and just plain randomness. And the radar invokes camping. The maps are already sneaky as hell i dont need someone camping and getting the first shot because they hid on the 6th lvl in the corner. Its almost like you guys knew it would be competitive as hell so you toned it down. Even the shadows on some maps go in my opponents favor. I think you should make it bland. As boring as that sounds its the most competetive and fair way to do things. Just straight up br fights. Something you can predict. You cannot predict a camper. Because you cant look at 6 different areas, your skill with a joystick means nothing. But in this playlist, I want no excuses. If someone beats me I dont want any reason to complain. And ill say, “yep he beat me fair and square”. Now some things I liked was that you knew the general direction of their spawn point but not exactly. You can easily get into a fight again if the enemy isnt camping. I also liked the 5 kill 2 min. rounds best of 3. Perfect set up there. Again, im just saying what I think and it’s awesome you guys even added this. I think this could be the end of the phrase “1v1 me bro.”
You literally said you want a playlist where you don’t complain, yet you complained about every literal thing that will and is supposed to happen in an arena shooter. With all your bellyaching about the current offering and setups, you’re just saying you essentially want octagon for head to head and that’s it, and tbh, octagon isn’t really a show of skill nor strategy.
Dude, it’s a 1v1 playlist. Small maps without radar are where its at for the comp players. Although I do not like Spartan Charge in 1v1 (AKA HEAD TO HEAD). Other than that all is well. Don’t complain, adapt.
Adapt and overcome
I lost my 1st round and own the next 2. The guy told me i was trash the 1st round then asked what happened. I told him I learned a bit of how he played (mainly he just tried to jump snipe me and use the suppressor), i told him i adapted and over came…i told him thats why he ended up being trash (not that i tell people that they are trash but he called me trash 1st lol)

Because there’s no motion detector, people seem more likely to sprint around the map than if there was a motion detector.
This is however incredibly loud and I can hear them coming a mile away. As you said, you need to adapt. I’m enjoying the playlist a lot.
